hi you try to put some prop guard on your atom and what tnx

I was wondering if this will work with Atom SE

I don't see why not! Definitely worth a try also as they both have very similar camera styles

As others have pointed out, the ND (Neutral Density) filters shouldn't affect how the image looks besides the camera changing the shutter speed lower or the auto ISO to go higher to compensate for less light due to the ND filter. The advantage of having a faster lens, for example F1.4 vs F2.8, is nullified by the ND filter because it's purpose is to cut down the light. What photographers usually use to shoot sunset is a graduated neutral density filter which the top portion has the ND (darkening the sun portion) while it gradually decreases the ND to zero at the bottom but this requires that you manually set the exposure to say -3 stops (I'm not sure you can do that on the drone) otherwise the filter will likely fool the camera auto exposure the same when you use a regular ND filter. If the kit contains a CPL polarizing filter use that instead if you want to lessen the reflection on water and also make the sky deeper in color while also pleasantly increasing saturation although this will not do anything to reduce the glare from the sun it will reduce the UV haze in most situations. You get nice dramatic sky contrasting it with the shadows in the clouds. The CPL filter can be rotated to maximize the effect so you have to orient the filter correctly by using the marker on the filter. EDIT: I checked the link to the NEEWER filter set and it does contain the CPL polarizing filter as well as a UV filter. Prior to digital cameras, photographers use the UV filter to block Ultra Violet light which affects photographic film used on old cameras. UV doesn't affect digital cameras but UV filters are great to protect the lens on drones I suppose much like UV filters are still used to protect the expensive lenses on professional digital cameras from scratches, dirt and fingerprints/oils. The multi-coating on most lenses can easily be scratched and eventually fade by constantly cleaning the lens.

Very well said!! I myself have been using the CPL & UV filters for my videos and have seen a difference with them!

They don't fit properly, because they use the groove on the dji camera to clip on, which atom doesn't have as far as I know 😊
@jimmycreatesvideos10 ай бұрын
Don't know about you but they sit flush enough where they don't come off 😊
@kevindarkstar10 ай бұрын
@@jimmycreatesvideos good, that's cool, but if you look at the rear of the dji camera there is a shallow groove on the rear which those filters clip into, if it fits OK on the atom, which lacks the groove ya just lucky, but if it works it works 👍🏻

@@kevindarkstar I totally understand where you're coming from too. I just wanted to show other Atom users that it can be possible that's all haha. Cheers!

The main question is : can the camera move up and down or the filter obstrac the movement and the motor will be destroyed
@jimmycreatesvideos9 ай бұрын
@@Onzi-n3l can confirm the camera still moves up and done just fine 🙂

When I flew it again during day time, I could see the difference once you play around with the manual settings

Guys do you realise what nd filters are for? It's so you can get more cinematic motion blur when recording video. The image will look the same but it just allows you to be able to slow down your shutter speed on the camera. It's by having longer exposures for each frame which creates the motion blur.
@kevindarkstar10 ай бұрын
Sooo basically then for hobby use or holidays ect pretty much pointless 👍🏻@@cocis911
@daviddrew762410 ай бұрын
I personally didn't see a difference!
@keepitshortnsweet9 ай бұрын
@@daviddrew7624 That's because he had the camera set to "auto" so it adjusted the exposure. ND filters only work in manual mode.
