Does anybody know what snare he is playing here. In his biography it says he spent his whole life searching for the perfect snare drum and he was never quite happy with what he had. Pretty nuts when you can hear how good his snare work always was.

Outstanding! I was flying with that saxophonist's solo. My fingers almost flew off my body. Wonderful arrangement! Bravo!

I must say, that solo that Lucas Simpson played was just impeccable. It’s Comparable to his performance over “Minor Booze”…nothing EXCEPT FOR appropriate phrasing. It was Beautiful, intense, intentional, intelligent, educated, and emotional. Thank you, Luke.

Don would be proud. It's a tad slower but maybe that's what guides the players to be able to play the complexities with less difficulty, because Im sure none of them already owned the Connection album from 1972 where this Hank Levy stunner originated. Wonderful tone from the trumpet player, Don would be very, very proud. Thanks for this excellent rendition.

Beautifully done! I love the tempo these guys played at, perfect to give attention to all the small nuances without sacrificing the great feel. I find it interesting how Thad scores for two sopranos here, it gives the sax section a super bright, sharp, almost harsh quality. The sax soli sounded incredible as well!!

Amazing to hear dynamics, attacks, and releases done impeccably. Well done! That said, the lead trumpet part is a lot more challenging to play than I saw it performed in this gig. Hopefully he'll come around in time. All around, the solos were fantastic, the band's tutti sections were tight, and I ENJOYED hearing this performance.
