I would have just taken a skill saw and trimmed the furniture dolly to fit inside the bottom of the cabinet

Have you used it to drill any metal? Just wondering how it performed.

I really enjoyed your project. Although, I can't see myself going with a white cabinet.

Do you have a link for the taps you are using?
@ruraloregon234722 күн бұрын
I would have built a dolly into the cavity at the bottom of the cabinet. At the least, i would attach the dolly to the cabinet while it was upside down then flip it over. That way you are not fighting the casters moving around

Was planning to do this. Thanks for blazing the trail!

Just a suggestion of an option, remove the drawer and turn it upside down in a work table for easy install. This maybe moreso important for the bottom drawers.

Had to subscribe both because your channel rocks, as well as to surpass that distasteful "666" sub count

If you're gonna replace the casters, you might as well get rid of the oversized dolly footprint and just attach them straight to the cabinet; or build a new dolly platform that's sized to fit the cabinet. Edit: Well I see why you didn't attach directly to the tool cabinet

Looks great. The wheels match the drill press.

Would you recommend the table attachment for metal work?
@Ramp-O-Matic28 күн бұрын
Probably not, I think the finish would get rubbed off pretty fast with metal edges rubbing on it, and once that black finish is off, the wood would soak up cutting oil and expand. Its some kind of MDF material.

No discernable difference between the two. I use this in conjunction with a dust deputy setup.

i use dewalts 12v oscillating tool daily it’s much smaller then my 20v and vibration about half as much and it seems to cut faster
@isaiahsexton1423Ай бұрын
also i’ve used both the 12v milwaukee isn’t faster than the 12v dewalt if anything they are about the same speed with about the same vibration

Nice job. Simple and efficient. You're spot on with the tool "reviews". The majority of them these days are just spec sheet reading infomercials and very little in the way of actual reviewing.

Rub some used motor oil into all the wood you have sanded or cut to help seal it, give it some good color, and help it last longer.

Amazing idea! I'd like to know where the drill holders came from. I don't own a drill press, but I do have 8 or 9 cordless tools that would fit on that holder.
@LokiEventserviceАй бұрын
Welll. Now u get to do a head to head comparison. And milwaukee willl win that.. If it doesn’t then... guess you using it for very very basic diy. i have both. Yes the dewalt is smaller snd seems more nimble... but when u drop in a highoutput cp battery (the small round one) into this m12fuel .. boyyyyyyyy.. itsssss the sht P.S. i have both, 19/20 i reach for the the waukeee

If you've got time to do a 4 second countdown intro, you've got time to start your video 4 seconds earlier.

Its quite reasonable to assume a 12v HO tool would be smaller then a 20v HO tool

I work part-time at Harbor Freight to support my tool habit. It took me awhile even before I got the job to figure out why they're so cost effective on some great products. It boils down to 95% of what they sell is their own products. They have them produced for then and shipped to their warehouse and then direct to the stores there's no middle men at all involved so they pay that on to the consumer. They're a great company to work for.

After watching your drill press cabinet video went and bought one in gray color. Plan to make it into a drill press stand as well. They are really well made which was surprising for Harbor Freight. For wheels on mine I am going to use a roller base from Vevor though. Thanks for your videos. Keep them coming.

You have a 3D printer, use it to create simple T-track inserts to prevent things from going into the when working with small parts.

I did a similar thing, but I am EXTREMELY careful to move it because of it being top heavy. My cabinet is wider so this narrow cab. would be a problem.
@Phoeff99Ай бұрын
Greta video. Here I had purchased an ikea metal cabinet and planned to make a steel outer frame and attach casters and make a table top to mount my benchtop DP. . All that effort and I could have just done this. D’uh. Nice job. Love the rolling base idea and drawer sweeps. Will adopt that last one for my own tool cabinet!

I would have used a Key ring loop on the cord, less of a chance that the zip tie would close or break... but other than that, not bad, definitely considering doing this for a couple tools I have...
