It's so good to see the continued work on this concept! I had the privilege to introduce Artemis to my group of friends way back in 2011/2012. Just last weekend, some of us "old crew" had a chance to tell the next generation about our favorite Artemis nights. Everyone in earshot wanted to find a day where we could get back together and play. I was afraid I'd have to dig through my old hard drives to find the game, but this is an awesome surprise. We will be buying Cosmos. Thanks for the decades of entertainment!

I've been playing on and off since the first version and keeping up to date irregularly. I'm excited to see that I check back and in the last two weeks there's Cosmos. I'll be buying and building another crew this spring.

I think online capabilities are really opening this game up. As it is now Fighters are just an afterthought. Have em launch and they will go pew pew. with the captain telling them what to do. I think some sort of squadron mechanic would be great with the fighterpilots playing online and not in direct contact with the captain. They are "alone" out there only able to communicate with other pilots via com frequency not heard on the main ship. The commander handels com with the bridge. This game is incredibly tactical with each position and it would be great to expand that to the fighters. the commander will form an attack plan with the captain. he can form formations, give formation command and asign a number of wings for each formation. with enemies red, allies blue and your assigned wingman maybe green.

Thom this is crazy man. So awesome to see youre still committed to Artemis. I hosted an artemis lan for my friends 40th bday a few months back. Was such a good time. Very excited about all the functionality changes, especially opening up the game to python. (Looks like its time to learn python 😂) I showed this trailer to my friends and a couple of them mentioned how the UI doesnt look as fun as the OG, especially engineering. While i have to agree Im less worried about the early aesthetics. Will it be possible to change the UI via python?

I'm so freaking excited about this. I really feel like Artemis with online co-op could be a real game changer.

Will we be able to design missions where a video can pop up on the view screen? Like an incoming hail?

I used to host Artemis games back in the day and it was so much fun. These days I know a lot of gamers, but getting them all in one room is hard. Will this implement online coop? If so, a proper bridge simulator with roles for many people, online coop, that would be AMAZING. I would just buy copies for all my friends.

Will this need to be purchased seperately from existing bridge licenses or clients?

Go Comms! Not often comms is so key. I totally love the scripted missions. I've had numerous events with the scripted missions. We did a 13 hour non-stop endurance event with crew rotations etc. The scri[ted mission kept us all on our toes. Until we burned out. I think these make the best use of the comms. And you get to to the voices of the villainous enemy captains!
