Thank you for a great video! I want to use my Skew Chisel more, and your instruction is excellent. Thanks!

Ok, that’s a really neat drive center - it creates a lot of space away from the headstock. What is it? It looks like a 2MT lathe alignment tool with a cup center on one end.

Where has this video been hiding? I cannot believe there are so few views to say nothing of a lack of comments. The information presented here is so basic, not only to the skew but to all turning operations. Thank you for sharing Eric. I hope more people find this piece of required information soon.

This is a great follow up to the class you taught at the Northwest Washington Woodturners. I tried you sharpening and wow what a difference!

I am a SDWT member and I really enjoyed your Zoom meeting and demo of 1/16/2021. It is the best zoom meeting that I've ever attended.

Great video and enjoyed your Zoom Demo on this subject yesterday for the San Diego Woodturners and guest clubs. The time stamps in the description are very helpful. THANKS AGAIN and hope to see you in person one day soon.

I love this technique. As a new turner, I have not had any luck with making the head of the top. I always seem to deal with end grain tear-out. Especially at the widest point. Your method seems to eliminate that. Am I correct in that? ...and also, may I ask, how do you sharpen your tools?

Thank you very much for this video. I'm just starting to learn about blade geometry and your very good explanations helped me a lot to understand.

Yours is the best lathe-work lesson I've watched. Not only are you a master with the skew, you presented the lesson information in an excellent manner -- clear, repetitive when appropriate, and reminders throughout. I especially appreciated the biomechanics aspect. Yours is the only such presentation regarding stance and body movement I've seen! Well done!

Great explanation and thanks for the video. I have a question though. I saw a video where the turner said he likes to use a hollow grind when he does demos so he can hone it with stone or card. Why doesn’t honing work on a convex bevel?
