Even to the point of hurting their own team. Players like George Atkinson and Jack Tatum couldn't cover a broken coffee table. They survived by deliberately hacking at the heads of helpless receivers, rather than by skill. I wish the tables would have been turned. That those two thugs were the receivers and Lynn Swann could blindside Atkinson after the whistle. That Darryl Stingley could cold cock Jack Tatum. I've been a Raider fan for 54 years. This video was awesome cause it showed the players of yesteryear in our glory days when we were actually feared.
