@@bikeshop2002 how would they know if you painted the same shade? I get you though. Most landlords are a pain. They just don’t seem to get people are more likely to want to stay longer and take better care of places if they can make it feel more like their own home. I was only allowed to paint mine white because I hated magnolia. Reminded me of my dad’s nicotine stains.

@@KellyAnotherAdventure new paint looks different from old paint, even in the same shade (it dries to a different finish). i've been thinking of getting enough paint to do an entire room though - that would be harder to notice. but it would still be different from the ceiling and from the other rooms and i worry that i would need a ton of coats to make sure the old coat doesn't peek through in places, and end up creating an even bigger problem somehow :( and same, i can't stand the yellow-ish white shade i'm stuck with either

@@bikeshop2002 I’ve definitely noticed lately which parts I’ve missed as some doors and frames are yellow-white instead of bright white. Oops! Dealing with filler is the bigger problem for me though as that makes the finish look different on those patches.

You'll need to drill pilot holes with a masonry drill bit and then use concrete screws. They're special screws that are blue, you can find them at Walmart

Put a hole in the wall anyways and then fill it with spackle. Too easy.

@@anthonydelamarter490 doesn't work if your landlord forbids you from painting. can't smooth over the spackle. i'm not even allowed to paint using the exact same shade as the existing colour to cover damage. any paint on the walls at all is grounds for eviction. and landlord refuses to ever repair paint themselves.

Well, this is why you need to read your lease. I stay away from over obstructive landlords.

Don't need to line up the furniture with available studs and when your renting small holes are easier to fix with little spackle.

There's an option to screw into the back of your furniture so you don't have to put the adhesive on top of your furniture. Let us know if you have any other questions!
