There’s only one baggage car. The four cars upfront are mail cars aka Material Handling Cars(MHC). Yeah the roadrailers were very common in the late 90s and early 2000s. They were used for a wide variety of items that needed to get to a destination much quicker than freight train service could provide~ Drewski

Awesome video Drew! Next time you come to Florida come on over to the Florida Railroad Museum in Parrish (35 miles south of Tampa)! It’s a 6.5 mile trip from Parrish to the town of Willow and back (13 miles round trip) and we tell you about the history of the line and the history of Willow from its beginnings as a company logging town in the 1920’s. By the way, I am one of the conductors over at the Florida Railroad Museum. Like I said, next time you are in Florida come and check us out!

No, this is at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum. The Chattanooga choo-choo, which is now no longer, was not too far away from TVRM at the time. The difference between this and the Chattanooga choo-choo, the Chattanooga choo-choo was just a display - Drewski

@@DrewskisTrains_Travels live in Dickson before I lived in Ohio and spent my army tenure at tank plant. Nearby could hear the steam locos Beeing refebished at the Lima loco plant near by and we did work at tank plant.. also worked at my civilian job at sylvainia TV plant you saw my work hi hi be 😊

I wish they still ran the old ones on the tracks more often around me but we gotta travel north to see them. Thanks for sharing cos it brought back great memories.

Unfortunately we’re not gonna be able to make it to the Amherst show this year🙁. That said it is on our list to go to at some point! Our good friend, Lucy Dormont, the social media manager for the NMRA, will be there though. Also on our list to go to is the York train show in York Pennsylvania. So, we’re hoping to make both of these shows in the near future🙂

Nice! That paint scheme was pretty sweet looking. Funny thing I actually saw those with the bilevel cars in a book that me and my brother got recently and we were commenting on the beautiful safety striping up front.

@@DrewskisTrains_Travels ngl i never saw them during my youth but when i discover my part of jersey, I saw that Erie Lackawanna, Penn Central use to be in areas of my hometown. But the BN and metra bilevel cars, man seeing those E units made adore the E units.

This is the future of model train upgrades especially in O scale. It's VASTLY cheaper than dcs and most especially legacy. Pretty on par with ERR though. But it's got more features than all 3 of those systems put together and the customization factor alone is worth getting it or at least heavily considering it. Rectifiers are extremely easy to make and yes, all modern O locomotives use DC motors.
