That dead end on old mine rd.. That issue has been going on for years. You detour around that small track pretty easy. I even reached out to the PS about it and they seemed to be happy not getting involved.

Thanks for making this. Camping in Wharton around labor day. Assunpink is close to me. I'd like to do this all over a long weekend with the fam. Trying to modify our setup for rapid setup and takedown so we can stay one night and move on. I wonder if these campsites have like 2 day minimums. I get so jealous watching folks out west just find a spot and make camp without a cop taping on their window.

The irony of it all just as malls replaced stores on Main street USA, they fall to a different retail strategy. For every action there is a opposite or equal reaction this is true about everything in life.

Recess Arcade held out past the point expected too. I know because we worked there. We were un informed we were suppose to be closed by what the mall owners wanted so we were the last shop open for a while longer than suppose too . Instead of being informed nicely we were threatened that the police would come if we didn't close up shop soon. They were probably my best 16 years of my life. With a condition I developed probably the past couple years when I thought I was getting better, I suddenly got worse with nerve damage. I don't regret my years there. I do regret though that my friends who were my co workers have now scattered and haven't sat down to a game together in a couple years. One of my friends really agitated some others but I wouldn't give up on him. But then after I got nerve damage he said some pretty cruel things while I was in massive pain. I really needed my friend to talk to but he wasn't up for it. He told me I shouldn't play many games anyhow yet wouldn't talk to me because he was too busy playing Guilty Gear. My other friend who got busy with his own life doesn't talk to me much either, but he was always a good Joe. I just really wish I had heard back from the both of them more as I felt like I was dying and I'm not sure where things will go future. One of them was never the same after he was attacked but I refused to give up on him. Yet it feels like when the pain suddenly hit by hands then went through my body, he just couldn't empathize with how bad I was. He wouldn't read or pick up a psn call that I had to use because he had no phone. I was his phone for him just as we always had a place for him to stay when he felt a real need to do so, unsure about certain things where he moved too after other situations and moving I also helped him with. He did try to help past but it was with supplements that were expired or wanted us to read up on conspiracy theories that if they're really real would probably have put us in real jeopardy. Yet I miss all my old friends. Some stay in touch though, and though we don't play together in thankful for those who still talk to me now and again. I know it's hard when your friend feels like he's going to be the next of us to have to leave this earth as a body fails to function. It was amazing to learn however that to one of my friends still I learned I wasone of his best friends, counted among of the few great ones to him. I didn't realize he felt I had that much impact in his life. For that, and the years we were all good together, and some time after as we all still gathered here at my place, it was a good life at the times I wasn't ravaged by pain to bad. I miss those times greatly, I miss my friends out there, but I'm thankful though that this life is now a painful one, and over all will be shorter than many, I witnessed some great times of gaming. We were pioneers into worlds too explore and live lives that would've been denied us due to social status and claim grand victories at the expense of no one's actual life or well being. We were adventurers through heavens of fun and compelling designs where as today is mostly kids just shooting each other in the face match after match of the same games for years. But at least they seek glory without death. Though some will try and dox you if you're too good these days. But I'm retired from pvp now. But now this illness has retired me from returning to work like I thought I would this year. Still though, I'm thankful. And just in case I got moments, longer than I thought, to say goodbye. Thank you to all my friends and those who have respect for someone who kept taking the lower wages to help keep one of the last arcades open. I had other offers over those years, and I did do a season of a couple weeks for a job where I helped train some others who would go on to make bigger differences than I probably will, but I let everyone know I was coming back from that 'vacation time' and that arcade is where I stayed. Hopefully I'll be remembered well. I think by most I was rather liked by most other than those who seemed hell bent on claiming I was done kind of racist. Which was odd because all my friends were different diversities of what those people claimed I was racist against all while my friends couldn't help buy laugh at those few for such nonsense. I wish those kinds of years could've gone on longer. The arcade, my ability to play games with healthy hands and healthy enough body, stopping by for Chinese food on the way home, and playing a bit more or hanging in a virtual world while counting down to watch movies together online. That last one I still do. But though I swype typed all of this, my hands are more limited now. Hurts my arms over time, sometimes sooner than later. So I wrap this up with a thank you to all who made my life fun and enjoyable in our little low wage life that we still rather enjoyed. I doubt this message will ever be found by them, probably not even read in full these days as some rather spend more time on Guilty Gear Xrd after they whine about how bad Strive is yet think a man's pain to extremes is less of a tragedy. But such is life. Don't forget your friends and family in this world. The games alone are nothing if they're all you have. They're like books with skills to be learned and executed. They're all better with others. If not to play, then to at least share thoughts of them. You're no lone hero claiming to be done kind of loner when you're still playing with several online. Don't be the worst kind of sociopath to your friends who helped you time and time again. Enjoy things together. They're not always easy, but they'll mean the most in your life. Fair well.

@@greenlaneamerica2306 Such is now our age. We're old enough now to see the buildings we grew up go down. Some folks got to keep theirs an age ago as historical landmarks, wonder if they'll keep a few shopping malls for such a task. Seems like it's about to be something of an age gone past. Either way though, we get a Demolition man scenario. Either they smash em down or preserve them as a museum exabit.

@Bangcat

@@monkeywkeys3916 I think much of my best years were working the arcade there, and Burlington Center was a part of my life for a long time. How Moonbeam isn't under investigation after having multiple locations they took over suddenly experience water main breaks, is very suspicious. But these days the rich get away with quite a bit. Those of us with little to no income like myself, well, we don't even get the medical help we need. Under Horizon and my pain management doctor, there's pretty much an outright refusal to take any more steps to manage my pain until I get my MRI which has not happened in the 2 months from when it was suppose to happen. So the best I got was take two Percocet pills if one isn't enough, and the threat that because I wasn't using them enough before, as I thought I was only suppose to take them when I cant manage the pain, there's been the threatI probably won't get more unless it's in my system. Long long ago when I went through a year of pain when in collage, I tried to hang on and couldn't. When it some how got better, I saw the school lied to me about where I should join up, but they signed me up as a sucker in the wrong catagory just because thats where they had openings, and seeing all around just how fickle life is, I chose not to go back again. Glad I didn't. Glad I caught a job at the arcade and wound up managing it for about 16 years. Sadly though toward the end I was in pain again after working hard to get better after a blood pressure incident. And now I have pains that look to likely be permanant. Like the mall my life is being played around with by Horizon insurance, Virtua medical company types, and multiple doctors who passed me off or even cancelled my appointment in person. Not one, but multiple. I'll be crumbling like this castle of good times. But by golly I'm glad I chose that time there. Years later I had a brief moment of much less pain i thought I might get back into thw workind world, then bad news, then this following it even though I beat the numbers down into good ones. Life is fickle. Don't blow it all on working a job you dread. Enjoy friends, family, games, and bathe in good times. It doesn't last forever, and if you're not an elitist or considered important to higher society, often a case of luck or who is knowing who or related to someone, you don't get to have that royal treatment. Enjoy whats left while you can, for me the pain is physically getting to great, and the doctors put me off and didn't test what they should have at proper times to save me from it.

Jeez, I didn’t know they actually tore the whole mall down. This is upsetting. I was four years old when this mall opened. We lived about 5 minutes away, so this place was practically my second home. I spent dozens of hours at the arcade, spaceport. I worked at the cvs in 1994, and I worked at the Burger King in the food court in 1996. So many memories of this place. Growing up in the eighties and nineties here…some of the best times of my life. Goodbye old friend. You will be missed.
