Few days of the year as humanly quiet as this one, so nice. All the best for you and yours in the year ahead. Thank you for reminder of "we" within. smiles for miles

Hi, me again. I just wanted to add to my previous comment that you have made a big impact on me. I was just telling my mother last night how isolated I felt from those around me… that I only feel connected to people through the passages of distance and time when I happen to pass upon a quote they said or a video they made, like this one. Knowing other people like me exist makes me not feel so alone. Thank you💙

Hi Adrienne, thank you for making this video. I believe I was meant to see it as an intellectually isolated 19 year old girl. I feel we have so much in common, so I wanted to share some quotes I really relate to. “I’m restless. Things are calling me away. My hair is being pulled by the stars again.” -unknown “I don’t feel guilt at being unsociable, though I may sometimes regret it because my loneliness is painful. But when I move into the world, it feels like a moral fall like seeking love in a whorehouse.” -Susan Sontag “Never rush an emotion; everything in life has a rhythm, it is the pauses and silences that speak the truth.” -unknown “Today, you are who you are today.” -unknown “Travel and tell no one, live a true love story and tell no one l, live happily and tell no one, people ruin beautiful things.” -Khalil Gibran “You never know what worse luck your bad luck has saved you from” -No Country for Old Men “And in this moment I swear, we are infinite” -The Perks of Being a Wallflower “Do not disturb yourself by imagining your whole life at once.” -Marcus Aurelius

Dear Madalynn, thank you so much for your message. And yes, the quotes that you've chosen resonate with me greatly. It seems you have a depth to you that has been difficult to match in your immediate social sphere, which yes can be quite isolating. I can also sense a wisdom in you that stretches far beyond that feeling and colors your perspective with beauty and appreciation, even amidst what can be a very painful experience.. being human. Sending so much love to you. You're doing great. 🙏🏼 💜 🙌🏼

I think that we feel the pressure for perfection because when we hold something precious in our hearts and desire to share that part of ourselves with the outside world, we are scared to look foolish. So we try to have it all tidied up and wrapped in a bow to prove what we carry isn’t stupid - to prove it is worthy of us sharing it to the world. Being afraid of other’s opinions is the absolute kryptonite to creative, courageous living.

One day, I realized the magnitude of the task that was assigned to me. I felt like a tiny ant facing a huge mountain that I had to move to another place. At first, I did everything with strength and ferocity, raging, shouting, and arguing. But nothing moved. I felt complete despair and a strong desire to give up and leave. Everything changed the day I realized that change occurs in one person at a time, one after another, slowly, until it will reach a critical mass. There is a concept that states: "A person must feel that the person in front of him is a king in disguise." In other words, everyone we meet in our lives, without exception, is the key to global change.. And the moment we manage to get this person to listen, we have fed the seed that will grow into a tree called: "The ability to distinguish between good and evil." And how do we get people to listen? We learn to be kind, pleasant, conversationalists and, most importantly, to speak straight from the heart (not emotionally!). We must learn to mobilize our intellect and the experiences we have had in our lives. The experiences we have had in our lives are meant for exactly that, to share, connect, create common ground. So remember, one person at a time.

Yes, and a big part of that shift is to begin with ourselves - to fill our own wells, to do the things that we love and that bring us joy and fulfillment. Only then, will we bring those gifts to others around us. It took me a really long time to learn that I didn't need to sacrifice my life, but rather celebrate it, if I wanted to make the world a better place. Thank you for sharing your experience. We've come a long way! 🙌🏼

I completely feel your angst. Lately I've lost a lot of faith in people and am shocked by how many have such darkness and hatred in them. Many of us feel this way and we need to stand together and hold each other up when we tire of the fight. Wishing you hope and peace.
@ofadrienneАй бұрын
It's so true... there really are many of us, and we can hold each other up, as you said so well. I am hoping this channel can become a space where we can do just that. Thank you for being here. Sending you love and peace. 💜
@user-jn6jm4bb6fАй бұрын
Just as there is no bad dog, this people are not bad either, they just don't know any different. However, once you start making them understand and start thinking for themselves, they immediately know how to distinguish between good and evil. And that's our job, to make them open their eyes and think independently.
