I was always a bit puzzled by that scene in Derry Girls. I was around in the 70s and people just disco danced to Hues Corporation. It's was 'Oops Upside You Head' by the FatBack band that they did the sitting down thing for (which makes slightly less sense). Is it a new thing?

The Irish are very much not Anglo Saxons. This is Irish. The English, who do often have Anglo Saxon heritage, do a similar thing to Oopse Upside your Head,

I disagree with the lack of vandalism bit. He knows well that my boat was sunk by vandals in the cladagh. Sure he spoke to me about it. I still like the Cladagh and its people. I doubt it was any of the locals that did the damage.
