My greatest honor in life was being called a 'hockey puck' back in 1995 in Vegas by Don Rickles. The funniest performer by far, ever. Long live the work and memory of the King, Don Rickles! ❤❤

Lolll that impression of your mom was exactly like your dad’s impression, incredible. I’m not making any comparison whatsoever with me and Don but i’m in sales and it’s similar to being in stand up because you have to put up a performance socializing with people for a living and when you’re home you just want to shut down the engine, so i imagine doing stadiums and are like that times 100.

I saw Don in Las Vegas back in the 1990s , he was an older gentleman then but his act was wonderful, he sang , he danced, and he made people laugh, just a great talent, he was also a great actor, he was great in Casino, and Kelly's Hero's

Comedy really is dead nowadays. I see all of these old comics, even much younger ones than Rickles time, and there’s no way they could pull off their acts nowadays. Not a one. Maybe Bill Cosby’s act and look what became of him, yeesh.

@@PlayNiceFolks lol no rock. You prolly do live under one tho, posting 4 times to a comment with no response. You too, should go with God. Might want to work on your grammar, as well. It can help to convey your points and get your point across a little better than a grunt and a few baseless idiotic insults.

I have seen many Don Rickles shows and even though he always repeats the same routines, the same jokes, I never get tired of seeing him. There is always a new improvisation, but no matter what, the mixture of laughter and love that he gives to his audience, makes him the kind of comedian that is one in a million. And look at him, younger than any other on stage, the last of an iron caste that unfortunately will not be repeated, at least in my lifetime. Thank you Master Rickles for teaching us so much about life.
Don hoped to show (. . .) how absurd they are? BULLSHIT! They were a topic Don used TO MAKE MONEY! That's it.
@IronMike21228 күн бұрын
Is it that bothersome to you? Are you crying about it? He’s dead now, but I’m sure you want his comedy “canceled,” huh?

I worked with Don on 2 comedy central promos in '94. When cameras are not rolling he's just a respectful sweet man. He tried to insult me but got nothing for a Hindu from Singapore. So he threatened to pull my passport, annointed me a Mexican and called me Guttirez.. lol What I'll never forget is Harry, the African American he brought on stage in the video. He is Don's driver and valet. Harry was weak and sick that day. Don looked after him like a brother, checked on him often between camera setups. For 2 days Don drove Harry. I was there.

Yet we all felt safe lol. I got ya though. This is what love used to look like. Not making fun of someone and making fun of others was a sign of disrespect. We make fun of each other because we can and because we cared for each other. Oh yea... and it was funny! 😂
