I get three long beeps after the camera takes just a couple of pictures from the total number given (ex. just 1 when 5 is given, about 50 when 300 is given) and the focus is all over the place and inconsistent. Can someone help me?

Thank you for your excellent explanation. However, there's a significant issue with Nikon's View Assist feature. When using View Assist, correctly exposed footage appears completely overexposed. This design flaw renders the tool ineffective. Additionally, applying Nikon's official LUT to well-exposed footage results in an overexposed look. The LUT compresses all the information below the mid-tones, preventing proper "exposing to the right" (ETTR). Despite reaching out to Nikon about these concerns, I have not received a satisfactory response. As a videographer experienced with various brands, I find Nikon's cameras to be exceptional overall, but this is a critical problem. Learning from RED's approach to log profiles could be beneficial for Nikon. It's disappointing because there's a simple fix for this issue.

Can’t buy it because I detest the flip-out selfy screen: those are for video cameras. Is there not a way to make this optional? Selfy style or Z8 style.
@nikonusa5 күн бұрын
Hi there - You don’t need to put the screen in that flip out mode while shooting. But if you prefer a different style LCD screen, we have a variety of cameras that you might be interested in! The Z 50 has a flip down screen rather than a flip-out vari-angle screen: www.nikonusa.com/p/z-50/1634/overview. The Z 5 has a tilting touchscreen: www.nikonusa.com/p/z-5/1649/overview. Hope this helps!

I'm finding the view assist far too bright, the correct exposure looks clipped on the monitor and I have very noisy shadows. I've turned it off and am exposing via the ETTR method and setting the zebras to 245.

fine, but you are lazy when it comes to making tutorials about color grading your raw video, Tell us the workflow on NRaw as well as SDR,,, next , the green chroma noise is raw video. lastly, the ten bit video is in 4:2:0 yet sony slog 3 is 4:2:2, I think nikon are yet ready for video.

How to stop flickering even in natural lighting in n-raw z6iii at 5000iso or if pull shadows up…. whole luminance of footage change its due to green and magenta color noise along with luminance due to fluctuations in black levels that result in flickering… recently got z6iii
@georgemalczynski6 күн бұрын
Go to iso 6400. The image will clean up as it's the second base iso. Hopefully, they fix the flickering in firmware updates.
@anilaboutme4 күн бұрын
Yup the flickering is terrible. You can fix it in post with the plug-in Flicker Free in PP or Deflicker in DR studio but Nikon should fix it ASAP...

What are your thoughts on the noise & DR issues when compared with the Sony range? What made you choose the Nikon instead? We shoot on Z9 and have considered the Z6III, but the DR issues are a concern.

I am a proud Sony user but I discourage this. If you want to compare research on your own and buy what works for you. So what are your intentions? Make Nikon proud fans buy Sony?
@petersuvara6 күн бұрын
@@igugulethu7 it's a legitimate question about the shooters choice of video camera. What made them choose the Z6 III over the FX3 or Z9? Not sure what the problem is.

Thats why Sony wont ever put internal raw in the smaller bodies…too many people dont understand how to use raw, what noise to expect… Ive shot the new z6iii on 3 Shoots already, the footage exceeds a7s3 quality, but, as all raw formats, is more noisy. If i apply noise reduction, the DR is almost equal, but the exposure latitude is much better, because its raw. Also mixed light or low light colour fidelity is much better. Please, learn how to use raw first!

Hi there - You can safely document welding like Alex Gorosh did in this video. Some considerations are to explore using UV or ND filters, maintain a safe distance, and wear protective clothing and eyewear.
