I've enjoyed listening to your podcast so far so great job there. Its crazy that I bought one of your old sleds and met Marcus. Not that you asked for an opinion but when you three started talking about what other content you could produce it made me think of what I like to watch. Matt Doetsch does a great job (obviously), but I like his vidoes because I can see what he rides from his perspective/ camera angle. Its also cool that he is miked up and he talks through things. I know he can rip and do all the bowties and hop overs etc but as a viewer i skip past many videos that just show riders doing "tricks" with rock music in the background. I want to visualize how I would ride that line and I find myself even ducking under branches on my couch lol. I know this is long winded but i hope it helps coming from an outside view. Ill start following your content more because I live in Colorado and I LOVE riding here. Keep it up guys!

Both are good when there is right simstag. I like fox evol rc3 to front ski shock. Actually fox tubes are better coated than öhlins, works longer.

I've only owned two older sleds in the past. Arctic Cat 340 Lynx II & Everest 440 that needed some work when we traded for it from my father in law. I've riden Skidoo Tundra 600 Ace machines at work...32" ski stance and 154" x 2" tracks. Lot of fun despite only having 60hp. This year we sping checked 2 BCxrs 154" x 2" 850 beasts. (38-40" ski stance with quick adjusters) I know its what Ivevalways wanted in a sled. My wife is a bit apprehensive. We're older so i don't see us doing what my wife calls sled ballet in the mountains. Just hope she gets used to the sled and doesn't want to sell it right away...sigh.

The current electric rate in California is on average 46 cents. Calculate that in addition to the average $40,000 buy in for an EV. I don't need a new car and the one I have will last me for the next 20 years. At 65 I'm not going to buy into the yet to be properly developed EV. For EV's, there are 2 big problems facing them - the production of electricity and the production of batteries. Both currently, are very dirty, inefficient, and destructive to the environment. 37% of electrical generation is from Natural gas. Natural gas is a hydrocarbon mixture consisting primarily of saturated light paraffins such as methane and ethane, both of which are gaseous under atmospheric conditions. The mixture also may contain other hydrocarbons, such as propane, butane, pentane, and hexane. 15% is from Coal. Burning coal produces environmentally harmful emissions. These include sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, particulates, carbon dioxide, mercury, and other heavy metals. These emissions can contribute to acid rain, smog, respiratory illnesses, lung disease, and global warming. 19% is from nuclear power plants - we all know the environmental impact of these. The remaining 29% is generated by wind, solar, and hydropower. Wind generators present their own unique environmental hazards which includes lithium-ion batteries as are also used in solar generators in addition to the solar panels themselves. The environmental impact associated with the production of lithium-ion batteries: Mining The extraction of lithium, cobalt, and nickel for lithium-ion batteries is energy-intensive and can cause environmental degradation, water depletion, and contamination. Mining often takes place in countries with poor environmental and human rights standards, and can disrupt habitats, pollute, and lead to worker poisonings and child labor. The mining process also requires large diesel trucks and fossil-fuel-powered refineries, which emit carbon dioxide and contribute to deforestation and biodiversity loss. Disposal Improper disposal of lithium-ion batteries can release toxic heavy metals into the environment, which can harm human health in the long term. Lithium-ion batteries can also overheat and catch fire if exposed to high temperatures or penetrated, releasing carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide. The environmental impact associated with the production of solar panels: Waste Solar panels can contain hazardous heavy metals like lead, cadmium, arsenic, and silver. When they break, they become hazardous waste and can only be transported at certain times and along specific routes. The solar industry is working to reduce waste by extending the lifespan of panels, recycling components, and finding alternatives to certain materials. Land use Large solar installations can cover thousands of acres of land that could be used for housing or agriculture. These installations can also alter the landscape, which can impact plants and animals, surface temperatures, and sun exposure. The environmental impact of hydropower electricity generation: Hydropower can harm fish populations, change water temperature and flow, and force people and animals to relocate. Dams and reservoirs can also obstruct fish migration. Some say that exposure to methylmercury from hydroelectric projects can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and neurodevelopmental delays in children. So, while the liberals rant and rave about the carbon footprint of burning fossil fuels in automobiles, using electricity, at the present time, does very little to reduce the overall environmental impact associated with personal, commercial, and military transportation. The technology to produce clean and low cost electricity needs to come first, not the vehicles to be powered by it. It is the old putting the cart before the horse - it doesn't work. Cheap environmentally friendly electrical generation is possible but the obstacles to develop such are immense. The profit governed corporations and those whose wealth depends on these profits, have blocked all technological breakthroughs that threaten the stability of their growing wealth from super-efficient combustion technologies to low-to-no-cost electrical generation. The best current alternative to using fossil fuels for combustion engines is ethanol. Ethanol can be efficiently produced from high-yield rapid-growth plants and other organic materials. While one of the byproducts of burning ethanol is CO2, this can be mitigated to marginalize its environmental impact. The best long-term solution is electricity but the generation, storage, and distribution of it needs to be advanced well beyond what is currently in place for it to reasonably replace the combustion engine.

i'm 57 years old and am looking to getting into a snowmobile instead of tracking my new side by side.had tracks on my previous one and had a blast with them.i bought a house on a 17 kilometer long lake so that's where i plan to learn the basics.we have hunderds of kilometers of forest service roads and snowmobile trails that aren't groomed.now i just have to pick the right sled,a crossover or a dedicated trail.leaning towards a backcountry x.most of the guys in my atv club are avid sledders,so i will be using that resource.

Nice camera, nice microphone, nice backdrop, and nice clothes... does this mean you have the qualifications to give snowmobile suspension advice... by the things you say, my opinion is no... youtube sucks because anybody think they are qualified to give advice... go to a suspension shop and talk to someone who actually has EXPERIENCE in snowmobile suspension... I personally endorse Ian @Monster Performance...After this video, I have more questions than answers now...

For Colorado just pull up CoTrex it lists tons of trails and is very user friendly. For more overlanding look up the Idaho Backcountry Discovery Route aka IDBDR. Tons of people start north and work their way south. Also look at Arizona’s BDR route but some areas may exclude UTV’s down there.

Glad you made this I’m actually in the market for a new truck and I can’t decide which brand I want. My gut says go with Ford, but my “ fancy” side wants to go towards a Ram. I’m not really interested in Chevy and GMC needs update their interior but the cost of truck now a days is outrageous so I’m stuck on which to choose and who isn’t going to cost me the most on maintenance.
