I have used this stuff and I can't even image how many coats, cans and how many hours it would take to make that stripe. I have never seen a product spray as thin as this stuff. I did a test where I needed to cover some light tan bondo on a very small area. It took 14 coats until I could no longer see through this stuff right to the light tan bondo and that was a very light back color. I can only image how many coats it would take over a dark color

Fine silver birch for Cadillac Escalade doesn't match.... Its looks like a rusted color 926L... I shaked it and still comes out rusted color

You have to spray this super super light almost a dusting or it runs. Looks awesome if you are very careful

After preparation and two coats of color and clear coat I taped off the area and wet sanded with 2500 grit sandpaper followed by rubbing compound. It’s not perfect, but it’s less than the $350 price the shop wanted.

I hope it's better than the little can of duplicolor clear coat I just used. WHAT A USELESS design! The white nozzle comes out like a piece of packaging material or something so you're left with a spattering mess until you figure out the white piece IS NECESSARY! For god's sake, whoever designed this is an absolute idiot!

The wheel paint can notes a max of 250°F while your videos have been saying 500°F. Can you confirm what the heat tolerance is? Or is it because they're using high heat tolerant base coats underneath.

I’m trying to make this pulley a gold color, and the pulley is indeed ribbed… and I’m bringing myself to an issue of not knowing what it is made of, so I can’t actually anodize it… I’ll destroy the integrity of the part if it is steel… so would painting the ribs hurt the belt? I mean down the line, paint cracks… I’m under the assumption that this does some chemical shit to change the color even though im over thinking it. Is there a science behind it?

Possibly you guys could look into making Volvo Passion Red (612)? I have to repaint my whole car a slightly darker shade so i can fix a pea sized chip. Really though a spray of 612 would be rad.

This clear coat is GARBAGE!!!! It absolutely ruined my paint. Terrible coverage, nozzle clogs easily and has about a 2" spray pattern which spit globs all over.... Garbage! I wasted 80$ on 4 cans of this crap. I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER DUPLI-COLOR PRODUCT AS LONG AS I LIVE AND I RECOMMEND OTHERS TO DO THE SAME BECAUSE IT'S GARBAGE!!! Dupli-Color you cost me money I didn't have!!!!

You confirmed to me what I need to do to paint vinyl on a car. However, you video is not well produced. The lighting is very bad and you cannot see the interior of the car very well at all. Use better lighting!! Plus you don't show enough before shots and there are no side by side comparative of still shots. I don't doubt the paint works. I just wish I could have seen it better.

Using this paint for bare steel skid plates. I am happy with the results. Application is easy. The paint hangs well. Final finish looks great! Couple of issues to watch out. Older product cans are still out there. Look for different directions regarding cure time. The old wait time is seven days, the new wait time is two days. New cans are also marked with VHT and Dupli-Color as the manufacturer. Second of all, the old “gloss” provided a satin finish. May be due to age, formulation, or mislabeling. A subtle reminder to test paint on scrap when appearance is a priority. In my case, the skids are going underneath the truck and the side facing out was painted with the same can. Hardly anyone will notice. The satin finish does look good. It hides imperfections better (as it should). While the gloss finish is slick and eye catching.
