Don't forget to let everyone know the crew running this are absolutely out of their minds and will scream explitives at your entire family if you do anything wrong. That's what happened to us. (My wife switched lanes because the guy waving the glowstick couldn't make a straight line)

I agree that particular evening was really bad. It was a 1st for that type of storm, and it was named a Derecho. I’m a native, and have been here for over 1/2 a century. In all the years of hurricane warnings, etc, only about 3 have done any substantial damage. That was hurricane Ike, Harvey and I don’t recall the name of the 3rd. We very rarely, if ever, get hail storms or tornadoes and we’ve been in a drought since Harvey, I believe it hit in ‘17. The giant hail and tornadoes happen in the ‘Great Plains,’ of TX. H town is in the Piney Woods region. The Great Plains would include Dallas, Ft Worth, Marshal etc. Overall, I can only say except for some spectacular thunderstorms on occasion, our weather is sunny and really warm year round. Be thankful for the occasional rain storms. This is the reason everything is so green & colorful here ❤

No, this was a derecho storm with straight line winds of over 100mph in some spots and there were also two tornadoes , one in my neighborhood. Lots of homes and yards destroyed and damage everywhere. At least 7 people were killed and many many still without power 4 days later. This was no small rainstorm.
