Wahoo first! I've just received my latest delivery 7-10 so I'll be able to get some new videos out myself. Funnily enough in issue 10 it actually mentions the game will be more fun and "cinematic" if you have someone to play against. So you saying these earlier missions are ideally "solo play" is very on point. Can't wait for the next issue video where they cover more rules for moving.

My first game went pretty poorly for the Tyranids. It took them a while to start getting good and consistent, but once they did, they stayed that way, winning 2/3 games. Looking forward to more complete games where their full rules come into effect.

Definitely build the Nexus Syphon with glue. I built mine as push fit and it fell apart in game! 😂

Really love the look of the Sylvaneth, both their basing and colour scheme really make them stand out. I need to paint more of mine in my pale white and purple scheme.

I built my shop bought one as a rifle and fist Intercessor sergeant. Sub delivery has come in since so will be building the one from that almost stock, I'll switch the pad for one without a shield and using older Mk helmets, but want to get more Intercessors together before doing the second Infernus unit. Honestly wouldn't have double dipped for what's essentially just another Tacticus body at that price but doing Scythes I'm trying to get a lot of 'Nid themed basing detail in.

The tray is made for a game called Shut the Box, but we use the numbers to show the turn number. - Will

The saving throws, damage hits etc is mega confusing for newbies like myself, kinda needs slowing down a touch. But the publisher making vital mistakes on this is beyond shocking. Regardless great video again fellas and much appreciate you picking up on these errors

The next issue (coming soon...) covers saves and modifiers in more detail, but it's still strange that they do it this way. If it was a mistake it wouldn't be the first time though! - Will

I use an old jam jar for my water. If I used a mug I’d keep drinking out of it by mistake 😮🤮😂

Well your first game certainly went better than mine. Will be posting it tomorrow for my viewers. I'm also painting as per the magazine as voted by my subscribers, it was a nightmare doing 3 layers by brush, I much prefer spray can then 1 quick layer. We'll see how long I can last, lol.

I'd argue that depends on what you mean by "worth it" - if you're just trying to pick up certain issues for the savings then no, the paint ones don't save you money, but if you are a subscriber to the entire run and you place value on the lore sections and painting guides, etc, then you still make a great saving on the collection as a whole. Depends what you're looking for! - Will

I'd love to see 3D terrain. They tease it in the magazine with that Chimney Stack on the Tyranid Victory blurb, but all we get is pretty lame flat terrain. I reckon we'll get some more terrain/data cards once we get nearer to the new units, which we now know when they'll be coming thanks to Fauxhammer, so somewhere around issue 15 which is when we get the Psychophage.

I think the Branchwych was planned to release for Fantasy, but the planned wave of Wood Elf kits she was part of never happened, and so she was rolled into AoS.

That would make sense, the Sylvaneth were an early AoS faction after all, and IIRC the miniatures design works a good couple of years ahead of release so she would certainly have been sculpted before the demise of the Old World. - Will

Indeed, it's just one more thing to remember and has very little impact on the game! Unfortunately the battlepack for the next 20 issues says to use it, and our policy has always been to follow what the magazine says unless it's clearly wrong, so we'll see how far we go before we forget...
