Sorry, I'm just not a fan of lowering a pickup. It's a truck, not a Porsche. Not a fan of the crappy wheels either. I must be getting old.

I had one it was called a salesman’s or business coupe. A salesman could fit his large samples in the massive (over 6’) trunk.

Lots of 70's around, you hardly ever see a 71 or 72 posted. I had a 71 back in the day. Also spoiler added to this 70, first year you could order the spoiler was 71 and mine didn't have it.

Classy, simple, beautiful car. Everybody’s always talking about the 500 and 500 XL coupes, but I think that these base models and 4 door models are just as pretty and interesting

I have one that's almost a twin for this one, but more original, without the custom modifications. Mine is auto on the column though, not on floor console.

What is the difference between a shoebox? In a business coup, please comment back and let me know. Thank you very much, beautiful car.
@ninja6363911 ай бұрын
The sedan has a full size rear window that rolls down (this car is a sedan with a chipped top), the business coupe has the short rear window that's fixed with no rear seat and the club coupe has the short rear window that swings opened WITH a rear seat
@ANOCKSАй бұрын
The word shoebox refers to the body style of the 49, 50 and 51 slabside Fords. It's the body style that got the name .👍
@ANOCKSАй бұрын
@@ninja63639I have never seen or heard of a roll down rear window in a shoebox Ford . That's a new one and I'd really like to see it

The description mentions the Galaxie 500 and 500/XL, but the car is indeed a base-series Galaxie. The Galaxie was roughly comparable to the Chevy Bel Air and the Galaxie 500 was comparable to the Chevy Impala. The Ford 300 effectively filled the missing spot of the Chevrolet Biscayne...
