May I ask how much riding experience you have on tracks and how difficult did you find this track to be?
@eli9494
@eli9494 27 күн бұрын
I race plus 40 b, and this track doesn't have that dangerous of obstacles, all the jumps pretty safe. The hardest part for me is all the ruts, which I haven't ridden alot lately, I have alot of rut experience, basically you don't get many breaks on the track, every turn generally has ruts. Alot of the smaller jumps were harder this day, they didn't have much steepness on the faces. I think you'll do fine man, just go out take it easy. I need to ride here more I've gotten slow in the ruts. By the end of the day I was feeling faster in them lol. This track will definitely make you fast!

how long did it take you if you had to pause for every filament switch
@eli9494
@eli9494 Ай бұрын
I think it was an 8 to 10 hour print. I know it took all night, I had a flight in the morning, just barely got it done before I had to go, ended up sleeping on the plane. But each filament change, takes at longest a minute, sometimes quicker. But yeah it was alot of filament changes lol. I wasn't planning on staying up all night, but worked out good, fell asleep once plane took off, woke up was landing. Some of the silks might have hit extrude twice, just to make sure no clogs, but generally can change filaments pretty quick.

Dude, I've had more than one day like this out there. Usually when the track is dry slick/dusty. Its like the ruts have arms with hands coming up and grabbing your wheel lol. I'm by no means a suspension expert, but I noticed one day out there my front end kept wanting to push. I slowed the fork rebound down a few clicks and it made a big difference. You ever ride woods? Plymouth Blackhawks I think has an open ride coming up June 1st and 2nd.
@eli9494
@eli9494 4 ай бұрын
Mostly just moto tracks, but yeah man was really difficult that day. If you weren't in a line, front had no traction. Most the time it's fine, pretty sure they prepped for rain, and it didn't rain. But I'll have to try slowing rebound, usually stiffen compression on the fork in sand, probably didn't help matters today

@ClarkStar866 right on man, I'm out with a broken wrist. During the motos I got so tired, I focused on riding some, finally got in decent shape and broke my wrist at big air. I've been riding since but it was really slow lol. Was hoping to make Ironman, just gonna go watch this year, but that whole day at redbud was on the struggle bus, got tired really quick, and I drag my front brake in ruts, definitely can do better. Got everything on the bike sorted out, Minor triquetral chip fracture, did that like July 8th. Tried ltmx with a mobius wrist brace and could make it around the track, but was just seeing if I would be able to ride Ironman. Hopefully I'm back before the end of the season, first time at big air mx I went, and came up short on the barn double and that was it. I should be back at very least for grassrace but hopefully sooner! I'll look for ya bud 👍🏻

@eli9494
@eli9494 Жыл бұрын
Honestly I'd rather go racing there than do an open ride. You usually get 4 rides , maybe 5, at open ride, but there's bikes everywhere. Race there's 40 and they'll be similar skill. That's definitely a haul.
@eli9494
@eli9494 Жыл бұрын
Actually after watching it, barely any people on the track for a Redbud open ride. Look at the open ride from this year on my channel, I think it was the first one they had this year, it was a madhouse. Couldn't really get into any kind of flow so many bikes. Usually they're pretty packed, and racing you get almost as much seat time, if you do 2 classes you'll get more seat time racing. That's a long drive, I'd recommend doing a race weekend. Open rides are hit or miss, sometimes they're so packed it's just sketchy. Normally I like to ride a track before racing it, I think the open rides get rougher too. This one looks like first ride of the day cause the ruts and bumps aren't to bad yet. Anyway good luck!

Do you still maintain your opinion? Still recommend them? Have you tried the Light Sensitive Lenses? I'm thinking of buying these to avoid the regular change of lenses. What's your opinion?
@eli9494
@eli9494 Жыл бұрын
Light sensitive lenses are my favorite. But there isn't a huge change, it's not like going from non-tinted to tint like the name implies, I think it's just a slight tint. Anyway I use those most the time. I normally don't run full-tinted. I do like the Amplifier lens. But now with the newer goggles, all the colored lens generally look the same looking out, just a tint. The Amplifier, and I like the rose hue, I got gold and Rose hue, and they do the same thing, but the gold amplifier lens, sometimes can see reflection slightly if you run tear offs. The Amplifier makes everything kinda pop. It's like looking through an Instagram filter, and honestly I like them best for ruts, especially if it's dry and they're hard to see. But yeah best goggles made in my opinion, I'm still running them. The light sensitive and Amplifier models don't come with a clear lens(still same fit). Just a heads up. the regular ones have a tint and clear. They also came out with the fury line since I made this video, same thing no outriggers and lower price, I still like the prospects. One of these days I'll do an update video. But hope this helps . Great goggles!
@eli9494
@eli9494 Жыл бұрын
Basically if that was confusing, you got the normal which come clear and tint, then light sensitive and Amplifier models. Light sensitive I wear the most. I just don't like wearing dark tints. My vision sucks, I wear contacts lol. Otherwise I'd wear the darker tints more.

@@eli9494 Many thanks for the reply. I'm searching for my first Goggles. I'm trying to decide between Fox Vue and Scott Prospect. But from what I have seen and read the Prospect seems to be a better option. They have a lot of lenses. The light sensitive seems perfect for those days that you start early and return home when the sun is out. From the photos I've seen, there seems to be a clear lenses light sensitive and some Grey light sensitive that probably gets even darker. Am I right or all the LS lenses are clear and when exposed to the sun they get darker? Do you have the Scott Prospect Snow Cross? They seem the same as the MX version. The lenses on the Snow Cross version have holes to prevent fogging. Speaking of which, how is fogging on the Scott Prospect?
@eli9494
@eli9494 Жыл бұрын
@MadeiraOnWheels there's just one light sensitive lens. That's the idea I guess it gets darker, but it's slight, I mean, I've tried holding them up to the sun, and I can't see them like change colors. I'm not sure how it works tbh, but they are my favorite. Fogging I've never had any problems. As long as your moving goggles shouldn't fog. I think maybe they fogged a little in cooler weather waiting in staging, but as soon as you're moving, basically instantly the fog clears up, but only time that has ever happened is below 40 degrees. Any goggle will do that but Scotts have plenty of ventilation as soon as you start moving, it clears up, instant. Never tried fox goggles, but I did work at a bike shop 15 years ago. Don't know if it's the same today with fox, but could have a harder time getting tear-offs and accessories for them. Scott stuff is carried by all the big distributors like parts-unlimited, Tucker Rocky, pretty sure fox had their own rep. Which made getting stuff from them more of a pain (might be different now idk) I mean you could even order the stuff for the works films system and turn any prospect into one with roll offs. I have 2 goggle with roll-offs, one I bought with the WFS the other one I just bought the accessories. Only use them in mudders . My advice pick one brand and stick with them, cause otherwise you need different tear offs for different goggles. Anyways my opinion the Scott's are definitely the best 👌🏻.
