Maybe next time you can take the national road, you'll take more or less the same time to get there if you exit in Tornada before the tolls and it's free

Believe me, I've taken that road a bunch of times! Adds an extra 15-20 minutes to the drive for me. Definitely a good option to take it though, I just didn't have the patience this day haha

The theory is the wave wraps around the camera location, hence the surfer is equidistant (a constant distance) away from the camera. That's what i heard at least. My interpretation of this video.

It has been like always. Praia do Norte has been surfed by Portuguese surfers and visitors since the 70’s…you are not descovering the wheel…the major potential of this spot is actually when it gets to clean 10’ plus days, and not those stormy conditions. The only big difference from the 70s and 80s is today’s Nazaré media exposure level. Have you surfed Puerto Escondido , Supertubes or Seignosse? Nazaré is top but hold on…

The thing with Nazare praia do norte is that it gets bigger than other places with the same swell size/energy coming in. This means the chance to surf waves the size we see in this video(not a famous XXL day), is bigger than with any other beachbreak. In winter time there are lots of day's with great waves .
