I'm so glad I found this video! I was in an international folkdance troupe as a kid and this was one of my favorite dances that I can remember. I've been trying to find it for years, but I learned the song by ear and not knowing how it was spelled or what it meant was a barrier to finding it. Thanks for posting it!

I circle dance regularly, but these dancers are so much more authentic, a pleasure to watch and join in at home!

When I was a teen, our local folkdance group did this as a staple. They jokingly used 'alternate lyrics' that were nonsense English words that /vaguely/ sounded like the actual words. Emphasis on vaguely. I loved this dance as a kid - good memories.

that's why you NEVER want to be 2nd in line. You have to take all the leader's weight on your right arm while he's doing the fancy stuff. cheers!

this is why you try to never be 2nd in line. He's relatively calm, but often guys do flying scissor kicks etc. and all their weight is on your right arm. OUCH!!

It’s because you’re from Greece you are not from Macedonia. Now go find a hobby and stop commenting BS.
