I came back to this song today to remember the last time I felt like a person. For a while now I have been struggling with an identity crisis, loneliness, lack of purpose, not giving nor receiving love. Today I couldn’t hold it anymore. I lived in a space where if a man cries they’re weak, it caused me to suffer In silence allowing the weight of my problems grow. I finally broke, one of my friends said the right words to make me cry and tell them what I’ve been going through “are you ok?” I’ve heard them before, but then they didn’t have the strength they did now. Now I feel lighter. My problems aren’t gone, I’m still depressed and sad and all these other emotions. The problems will always be there, but now I no longer hold that weight alone, for once I felt free.
