I really hope Cloud and Aerith reunited in Part 3, everybody knows that even the dev teams of FF7 that Clerith is Canon, period. From the lyrics i guess they will meet each other "on our street" (where they first met) and "in a chance that we'll share a glance". I am being hopeful here that, .Aerith is alive after the planet is saved, and that Cloud and Aerith meet "on our street" probably a dream or in real life. Then Cloud will go to "their place" the flower bed at the church where Aerith waited for him. That will be the best ending of the FF7 series. Yes, Cloud will come and find Aerith in part 3. The hollow and this song is so beautiful

She was thinking of Zack when she wrote this Song. It was meant for Zack lol you can hear it in the lyrics. Tifa & Cloud have much better chemistry.

🤦♂️ Zack took big fat L in rebirth and Tifa took L in on the way to a smile novel. Cloud wants Aerith, not Tifa. This song is about Cloud. There is nothing that fits Zack.

@@NordicWiseguy Well Arieth is still in love with Zack, she even told Cloud this in Gongaga when he asked her she said “she doesn’t have a reason not to” we know she’s attracted to Cloud obviously but that’s because he reminds her of Zack her first true love & Clouds Best Friend that died protecting him.

Nojima calls Cloud and Aerith koibitos (lovers) and they make koibito tsunagi gesture (lovers tie) twice in rebirth. Oh and by the way Aerith said to Cloud that the church is "their place" and what did the song stated? *When we meet again, at our place* Also Aerith met Cloud at loveless street and the song stated: *When we meet again, at our street* Also in Aerith's gondola date (which is canon btw since it was shown in the trailer and end credits) she said to Cloud that "right now i wanna be with you" Yeah Zack is out of the picture, buddy.

We did save her. Aerith is alive in parallel world Cloud created in forgotten capital when he parried Sephiroth's sword but only Cloud knows this. Tifa and the others are not aware of this, yet.

The BBC, instead of choosing this song to send to Eurovision when they had a golden opportunity to do so, gambled on Olly Alexander and ended up with nil points from the public vote. Would have loved to see Loren Alldred with this song on the Eurovision stage, especially off the back of FF7 Rebirth's release. Maybe there's an alternate timeline somewhere where it did represent the UK in Malmö (and win). And yes she is American but so was the last UK Eurovision winner

MAN. I absolutely LOVED the ending to Rebirth. Seeing the Tiny Bronco fly off in the distance and hearing this song gave me this sense of sadness and hope as to where Cloud and his friends will go next. It really made me think of the ending to "The Land Before Time" with Diana Ross singing "If We Hold On Together". It's the same feeling for me. I love this game. AND this song!

My wife of 13 years have never seen me cry.. until I finished this game 2 days ago 🤣(I blame the "Goodbye" with this song playing). Nice to know that I'm not dead inside. Played OG back in 97 - even though it's one of my atf, it was just a game to me then. I was bummed of her death but was more concerned about what will happen to the equipped materias. But this - this hits different. Never thought I'd be emotional over a game at almost 40 y/o. Still recovering and I'm not even close - confused about all the timeline crap though.

Nah, while I'm a cloti fan, I'm not expecting the song to be a love story between them. Instead, the story is about Tifa's regret for keeping a lot of things to herself, and in the end she indirectly destroys Cloud's psyche, and wishes to fix that later. Keep in mind in AC, tifa is a lot more outspoken and speaks her mind to cloud.

@@rasdan1192there is no way Tifa sings in part 3. She is not nearly as important as Sephiroth to the MAIN story, she helps Cloud in LS, but that's pretty much it. It's either Sephiroth or Cloud/Aerith, but Im betting on Sephiroth

I agree with the other comments. If there's a character song for someone in part 3, is most likely going to be for Sephiroth (I would love a Clerith duo, but would SE really be able to give us that... Highly doubt that) Hollow and Promises to keep mirror each other, a Tifa song would be awkward at best. Sephiroth is the logical and thematically relevant choice here.

I'm not a shipper but I think the story describes how first loves generally go. I always wanted Cloud and Aerith to end up together but it can't happen. There's heartbreak and sorrow but then he finally sees Tifa, who's been there for him since the beginning and who he's meant to be with. Aerith always saw Cloud as a 'discount' Zack which would never have worked. I hope they both get their happy endings in part 3.

Cute head canon and interpretation. Whatever makes you happy, but one thing is sure Aerith herself says she wants to be with Cloud and likes him more, and even devs killed off Zerith with Marlen telling Zack that Aerith likes Cloud, really likes him. Btw if what happens later in AC is for you how Cloud sees Tifa. Then for me if they were in relationship or not broke up bc Tifa understood that Cloud always loved Aerith and even after her death he prefers Aerith. That’s why we have remake were Clerith will finally be announced Canon in part 3 as it always should since OG ^^

One of if not the best love romances in entertainment. There is so much of this song that reminds me of rnb and soul from whitney Houston and melody thornton especially the vocalization and dramaticness of the singing which is found in soul music. Implementing these elements in this song elevates the it to new heights. Truly a masterpiece and personally one of my favorite games of the modern era. It is a true masterpiece.

@@Insanartisti don't think so. The dev's told us that they have almost finished script and the ending for the 3 part. I think the game will be shorter than Rebirth. More like Remake with open world. My hope is they will release it on the 30 anniversary of FFVII on 2027
