Okay so update(?), the little girl was apparently non verbal autistic….. and the women trying to calm her down is a mom of a neurodivergent kid, too. She was also at Walmart alone for 45 min. to an hour, until her parent finally realized what happened, ran in grabbed the child and ran out faster than the cameras could recognize her. Now, growing up neurodivergent myself, I was not non verbal but I was prone to tantrums and strange behaviors, but never anything this public. Unfortunately guys this is not a case of brattiness or being a bad kid, but by simply existing with a disability. Her parents most likely have been trying to teach her the right things, but it’s harder when a child’s brain functions significantly different than a neurotypical person’s. Especially, if she can’t talk and help you understand what she is feeling inside. This doesn’t excuse the behavior, but for me and my family at least, it explains everything.

There are so many comments assuming the girl in pink is just some undisciplined “spoiled brat.” While I agree that her caregivers are being irresponsible by leaving her free to roam around in public like this, we can’t automatically deduce that she’s just “spoiled” and “entitled.” She appears to be school age physically and this is not typical behavior among even the most troubled kids in her age group. She may be neurodivergent, undiagnosed, untreated, and unable to communicate her frustrations. Her parents may not have spoiled her, but failed to have her evaluated a long time ago.
