I don't understand a single word in Swedish, and it's just the second JCSS production I've started watching (after the 1973 film) but I'm already captivated. The moves, the choreography, the intonations and the way characters look at each other speak for themselves. I'm even scared to watch second act, knowing for sure that it will break my heart. The main trio (Jesus, Mary and Judas) are just too damn cool! The way they interact with each other? The way Judas looks at Jesus whe he sings how little he has left to live? Just too powerful.

genuinely one of my favorite musical theater performances of all time. The shifts in emotion- from shock and horror to quiet sadness and contemplation, to anger and finally despair- each feels so natural and of course the vocal performance is out of this world too. I also love the changes the translation made from third to second person pronouns in the “I don’t know how to love him” section- it makes it all feel so much more personal ❤

I have watched this version in part or whole a number of times. I love all the physical acting. Ola has his arms stretched mimicking the crucifixion several times. The tension between JC and Judas. Just amazing.

日本からです、英語もまともに理解できませんがこのスウェーデン語は全て理解できるほど繰り返し視聴しました！何度観ても素晴らしいです Overtureから使徒たちの親しげな様子、イエスとの関係性の描写が見事で何よりロック・オペラにぴったりのダンスが見ていて楽しい😂 お気に入りはカヤパ様の邪悪な表情とアンナスの暴走ですが、やはりOla saloの𝑺𝒆𝒙𝒚なイエスとpeterの最高のユダの演技に魅了されてしまいます！素晴らしい動画を出してくれてありがとうございます🫶
