My concern with seedless is the vendor lock-in with tangem. With seed phrase, you can manage the wallet and coins using another wallet app should the company Tangem run into any trouble. As for backing up the seed phrases, best is to encrypt it using openssl and keep the encrypted output and encryption key seperate (never co-located anywhere physically). That way the raw value never exists in first place.

I just set up my Tangem wallet, and there was no option for a passphrase. Tantgem support said it’s only available if you’re importing a seed phrase with passphrase.

Why nobody is talking about the idea to replace 1 or 2 words in seed phrase on opposite on some other and remember the right one. It’s better then trying to remember 12 words. But if someone will find your seed phrases they would not be able to use it because some words are wrong and they don’t even know witch ones

I see so many newbie questions on here. If you don't know how to use a crypto wallet then please learn. Over half of these questions are simple stuff that a beginner in crypto knows. i am not trying to be mean because if you are just starting then that is the point you are at and need to set your immediate goals on learing how to use crypto. How to to transfers and buy and sell, etc. This is a cold wallet and cold wallets are used to store very large amounts of coins so that no one besides you can ever hack it or steal it or take your crypto coins no matter what. You do not use a cold wallet for every day trading and swapping of coins. For that use something like Trust wallet or Exodus. And yes, you can always see every single coin in your Tangem wallet. It only uses you cell phone app as it's screen so you can navigate your coins easily but that phone app is worthless without the Tangem card. So if someone steals your phone it won't do them any good. There is nothing on it they can hack. It is only an interface like a monitor is to a computer, get it ?

I don’t get it. You said we can create multiple hidden wallets with different passphrases? I created a seed phrase wallet and a passcode / passphrase. Not clear how to add additional passphrases. Any way to see how you do that and navigate login in and out of each hidden wallet? Need to factory reset each time? Seems too much hassle and better to just get multiple card sets like you said. It would be a great feature for Tangem to make more user friendly to have easier ways to make hidden wallets easier to access with passphrases attached to the seed phrase that we could memorize in our heads and hide from Tangem app Home Screen and would only be visible when we enter the secret passphrases etc. For now this seems too complicated

So on their website it says if you enter a wrong passphrase, a new empty wallet will be created. This means you’ll lose all coins on existing wallet. Is there a way to still enter the old wallet?
