Hi there, I wondered when talking about the Nettle tincture. If it might also help to drink a nettle tea. I'm a firm believer of healing from within. You mentioned aloe vera also which I am aware of and also Oatmeal, I studied 2 years IFA accredited at college back in 1993 Aromatherapy, its a lifetime away now.🙄 I favour a natural living with a holistic approach. It looks lovely and cosy in the lounge by the fireside. Thank you for sharing, bfn.🐞🌻🌱

Happy New Year's Eve. Enjoying the history and the stories. Cornwall truly was a smugglers paradise, some of the little coves along the coast are only accessible via the sea and I believe that the customs officer had a huge area to patrol. Thanks for sharing, bfn. 🐞🌻🌱

Happy new year! To you too Jane. So glad you’re enjoying the stories , it’s not hard to imagine the ‘ goings on’ in those remote coves and beaches at the dead of night !! 🎉❤

This video was so relaxing! It felt like being back home, having a cozy cup of tea and chatting with a friend. My favorite part was the storytelling. Happy holidays from Italy! PS. Your house is stunning!

Feeding the birds is so rewarding I love to see the various species that visit my garden frequently, many times a day. A work colleague, told me a robin appears when a loved one is near. I really do like this analogy, and get comfort from it daily. They are little characters. Thank you for sharing, bfn.🐞🌻🌱

Lovely thoughtful decoration inside the cottage like the way you've managed to keep it light and airy even with the low ceilings and deep window recesses. I always go for cream first 😳then the jam raspberry if available, but what do I know I'm Yorkshire lass. Thankyou for sharing.🐞🌻🌱

Such a beautiful home! I believe my ancestors came to America from the area of Cornwall. My home is a 1910 bungalow. And same as yours there's a 1970's addition on the back that doubled the square footage. Naturally most of the homes in America that are as old as yours are on the east coast....then people moved west later. Also most were made of wood and no longer exist except for maybe the chimney stacks. Mine is sandstone so has lasted longer. I'm on a half acre in a fairly large city. Boise, Idaho, zone 7a. Cold winters, hot summers, and less than 12" of rainfall per year. Thank you for posting.

Thank you, I absolutely love hearing about you, I wonder what part of Cornwall your ancestors came from? Your home sounds delightful . My husband is from Nashville Tennessee we actually met on You tube, we both play guitar and subscribed to each other, then we visited each other and then we married, that was 15 years ago now. thanks so much for visiting my channel. 😀

@@SlowlivinginCornwall I should've said ancestor, singular. Henry Kendall, age 17, left Plymouth in Devon in 1635 for America in the sailing ship "David" and paid for his steerage my working in the galley during the voyage. I just kind of assume he must've lived close to that area or would've more likely departed from a larger port city. And Kendal castle north of you was the starting point of the clan and then some Kendalls moved south from there. (There's also a Kendall clan in east Britain but aren't related genetically.)

@@SlowlivinginCornwall Now that I'm thinking about it, there's a large Kendall home (probably originally an estate), either in Cornwall or Wales but since only the eldest son inherited back in those days (so were the only ones listed in the wills), it's really hard to know what other siblings were connected to what families back then. Oh, and that relatively recently a Kendall descendant re-purchased the home.

@@lesliekendall5668 How brave of Henry Kendall to leave Plymouth for the ‘New World’ wouldn’t you just love to see what he looked like?

@@SlowlivinginCornwall Yes, and to put into perspective just how primitive America was then, the Pilgrims came in 1620. Henry in 1635. Just a kid really. And an ancestor of mine named Thurston Raynor (he's even on google) co-founded the first 2 towns on Long Island, New York. He came in the early 1600's, too. And I do think about what they looked like and wish I could spend one day apiece walking along side them and seeing what their life and families were like.
