I apologize for the very late reply. Somehow this comment went unnoticed. What kind of shampoo are you using? Also, I don't use shampoo every time. Only if I use product in it. Otherwise, just wet it and use conditioner every time and you can even use a spray bottle with a few pumps of conditioner then fill the rest with water and spray it in while combing it after you've washed it. Let me know how that works for you. That's what I get my students to do.

Oh no!!!! Several in my classroom have the same problem.

Don't use clarifying shampoo. Otherwise, any other type will do and any conditioner works.

Did you ever get the knots out? It can be done!!! Lots of patience right now and try not to tug. If you're tugging, then you need to go lower. Do you know why it matted to the scalp? You shouldn't use water that is too cold or too hot. It really damages the hair. Let me know if you've made any headway in getting the matts out. I teach in a high school and the students are constantly getting the hair knotted up so I have so much experience getting them undone.

@@txjhairstyling Hey its been a while now i made it lol but she lost alot of hair in the front , its not very visibile but its less thicker than the left side , sadly , but she is fine now , she got tangled because her hair was shampooed often and her hair is bleached so imagine the catastroph , now i only use conditionner and she is pretty fine

🤣Don't do that! It'll be a lot of work but you can do it. You'll need to wet it again after and give it a lot of love with conditioner

This mannequin is 16" 100% human hair, bought through NP Group. They only supply to salons and hair schools.

Sorry for the late reply! It really depends on your mannequin. Using conditioner definitely helps but I find that if you don't blow dry it after, the hair could feel crunchy or greasy. But just brushing through it fixes that, if you've left it to air dry. Sometimes if it's really over processed, it'll need a haircut to get it feeling better again, but that's not always ideal if you want to keep the length. Try the conditioner and a leave-in and let me know if that helped!

Sometimes adding water to severely knotted mannequin hair can cause it to snap. Hair is more elastic when wet. When you get a mannequin, it usually comes with instructions saying if it's really knotted, wait until it dries first. Most of the time it's ok when wet though.
