What is the size of the holes drilled into the tube?

I didn't really have a good measurement; I used a universal drill bit and just made small holes to start and gradually increased the diameter as I moved toward the end.

Yes, you need fog juice. You just pour it into the reservoir in the fog machine.

How do you get the fog machine to produce more smoke? Seems like not enough smoke comes out of the tube

I didn't have an issue with that. You might need a higher watt fog machine, although I only used a 400 watt in the video.

why is the fogger and fog juice not in your list of supplies? That makes a huge difference in the cost of this project. Duh.

Because the project is for a fog chiller, the fogger and fog juice can be used without the chiller. If you want low lying fog you need to add a chiller.

I did have a similar idea BUT what I would say is to tie the bottles to a bit of string and you can easily pull them in/take them out. To make it even faster to swap, have a or some kind of clip with extra string at the length of the tube so when you pull the bottles out, you can unclip the string with the bottles, put the new bottles on and pull that extra string back through from the other side and be switched out in seconds.
@GRUNGEHaunts25 күн бұрын
I love these ideas! I will definitely do this on Halloween.

I guess having a jug of low lying fog helps too
@GRUNGEHaunts25 күн бұрын
I didn't use low lying fog and I've heard that low lying fog is not actually any better than standard fog juice. I haven't tested it though.
@CaptainFantastic7928 күн бұрын
Definitely leave room between hose and digger; lets air in and will make a difference. The shorter the tube the better, the fog needs air and not to travel so much.
@GRUNGEHaunts25 күн бұрын
There is a small gap, because the hose rests on the exterior frame and I did cut large slits on the side of the tube for air intake. So far it's worked great.
@nocturnal155129 күн бұрын
How did you connect the 2 hoses together?
@GRUNGEHaunts25 күн бұрын
They actually come with a male/female end that snaps in place. Although I suspect I will need some duct tape at some point after reusing them each year.
@stormlight155329 күн бұрын
How often do you have to change the bottles ? Half unfrozen ?
@GRUNGEHaunts25 күн бұрын
They actually last about 3 hours, so I only have to replace 2-3 times a night. I have to add more fog juice way more times than I have to change out the bottles.
@kathleensnyder778429 күн бұрын
Was it easy to switch out the bottles?
@GRUNGEHaunts25 күн бұрын
Yes. I just lifted the tube on one end and they fall out the other.
@joshb5898Ай бұрын
I wonder, if you snaked up the hose, you'd probably get even more cooling. I'm not sure if it would restrict the fog too much tho? Something to try. 😊

If making your own fog juice. Could u just freeze some of the water before adding your Vegetable Glycerin and putting it in the fog machine?
@GRUNGEHauntsАй бұрын
Freezing the fog juice wouldn't work. It still needs to get to a certain temperature from the fog maching element to produce the fog. Then it needs to be chilled after to get the low lying fog effect.

@PropGuru70229 күн бұрын

@ScareHollowАй бұрын
2 things. 1 you gotta leave a space between the tube and the fog machine, it will overheat and also not produce the right level of fog due to it not getting air flow. 2 wet the grass a bit before you turn it on each night, not soaking but a mist and it will help the fog sit in the grass!!
@tanyahutman7351Ай бұрын
thanks for the tip

Absolutely awesome video! I specifically need to use great stuff foam for my project but finding videos on its Casting Potential has been near impossible to find! Thank you for this! Do you think this could be done in a one-part plaster mold (max depth about 2")? It's for a textured block cast, so some warping would be fine (even if it tore during removal it wouldn't be the end of the world tbh, as long as I could piece if back together)
@GRUNGEHauntsАй бұрын
You would have to apply some sort of wax or vaseline to the plaster and even then it's still going to stick. I wouldn't use it in a plaster mold. I've also found that Wurth spray foam Walmart actually casts better than Great Stuff. It's only 4.25 a can.
