Wasn't really sure if you'd remember me from back then or not, heh. That feels like a lifetime ago, to be fair. Most real life friends knew me by last name, but my name is Kris. I was first introduced to you back then through Nichole (I do remember her last name, but I probably shouldn't throw out full names like that haha). I wrote bad poetry, occasionally some bad songs, though I was never really a musician. I'll try to dig through some of my old stacks of CDs/DVDs soon (and hope they're still readable!). I was always terrible at labeling stuff, but there might be a couple of things in there. Almost certain I had a version of Lady Day, that one always stuck with me. Might've been another instrumental song in there as well. The other main song I remember of yours from back then...I want to say it was called Texas Lullaby? Quite a haunting song, I can still hear the refrain* in my head, though I don't believe that was one I had backed up, unfortunately. *(Again, it's been a long time, but the lines were something like "I've been lost once too many times, I have fallen for these dreams once too many nights." Might be off slightly, but it's strange to me how clearly I can still hear it in my head, given that I only heard it a handful of times nearly 20 years ago) I haven't used Facebook in about 7 years now, though I had considered reactivating it at some point. I hit a bit of a weird spot around then, and retreated unto myself more than I should've, but I've wanted to try to reconnect with a few folks. Would be cool to catch up with you! I remember having some fun chats with you back in the day, but that does almost feel like a different life now. I hope you find your way back to making music, but I get that you can't really force art. Perhaps I should say I hope music finds her way back to you? Either way, hope all is well. I'll definitely let you know somehow if I find any old tracks of yours, as long as those discs are still functional, I'm almost certain I had a couple in there. Until then... <3
