I know this comment comes many years after this video, however this is relevant with modern FMS planes. The ‘Reflex’ gyro requires assigning to a 3 positions with. I am using a 10J transmitter. The 3 modes on the gyro are full gyro influence, optimised which basically means you have control but the gyro will mute the effects of wind etc, and completely no influence. So my question is, what rates should I enter for each switch position considering the 3 modes of the FMS reflex gyro?

2 position switch is also possible. Just switch around "off" and "on" in nr 1 avcs and nr 2 normal mode. This way always one is "on" or "off". 😀🇳🇱. Thank you very much for the video.

Your transmitter frequency should be set to 7CH and not MULT

I get blinking green but it never goes solid - R617FS to T8FG in 7ch mode (MULT and MLT2 failed). Radio works because I have it bound to an FrSky TFR6 FASST receiver. Tried two different R617FS receivers and both have same response.

Tracy Jackson Probably; have 2 brand new from Tower Hobbies; both have same scenario. Will exchange them and see if that doesn’t resolve the situation.

@@conradnerdahl127 In frequency, area should be general and fast on7 channel. Keep your transmitter away from the receiver(1meter). With every choice hit return to confirm. First set your transmitter to 7channel and leave the transmitter on, after that turn on your receiver and press 2-3 seconds on the button.

Try changing the linkage to FASST-MULT it should connect with this mode

switch frequency for model you are using to 7CH since you are trying to link 617 rx it does not support MLT2 FREQ

@wpockl The stock battery is 1700mAh, this battery is 2500mAh In terms of usable capacity, the lipo will last about twice as long. The benefits of a lipo come in the fact that the radio will sit for months without the battery self-discharging. When it comes time to charge, you can charge a lipo in a matter of minutes with any lipo charger.

How much longer can you run before recharge on the lipo? I just got my radio and drained the battery pretty quick just learning how to program it .
