This was an interesting discussion. Maybe it's a southern thang because it's a part of my social norm. I don't agree or disagree with anyone's view of what small talk is/is not. You could chit chat with me in line at Walmart and have a deep connecting conversation & once its my turn to check out, I'll say it was nice talking to you and go on with my life. Once I say goodbye, you don't exist anymore. It was just a nice conversation to pass the time.🤷🏽‍♀️

You all are very talented, planned and motivated people. You have no idea of the inspiration that you all are to others if no one else to me. Please plan some rest in your schedules. And to piggyback off the marketing piece, who can market you better than you? People are very personable and want to " be your friend" or feel like they are. Just think about seeing an artist you've always wanted to see perform. How much more would you enjoy that performance if you got the chance to sit with that person and asked them what inspired them to write your favorite song? I think being your authentic selves and engaging with your audience will do the marketing for you. Just my thoughts. Thank you for sharing your gifts with the world.

This was a great discussion because I am single and have been the "friend". I don't like the term best because it implies superiority and no one is superior in my friends' group. We are either friends or associates. I respect my friend's significant other & if I see our friendship bothers their significant other, I bow out gracefully. I would never come between someone's relationship.

Rice is hard even with directions. Mine is either crunchy or mushy so I stick with boil in the bag. Cooking and baking is an art. It takes more than just reading directions. :)

I think being intentional about your actions and not overthinking helps. I think you should surround yourself with people who think differently form yourself to give you different perspectives.
