I believe a lot of people fake to achiev fallowers but the fact that guy fakes it, i believe there are artists that has a right technic to portrait basic shads very fast. People who make portraits on the streets and parks they can do it very fast and have good quality... so i dont think the metter here is the speed, but actually the environment, and uncertain circumstances.

You have no idea how many people Devon may start to draw someone and they get off the subway before he finishes. We may only be seeing the ones who are there for the duration and he has a lot of unfinished sketches. It may also be that he is that talented and you're just being jealous.

I totally agree with you. I like the concept but in reality it’s not feasible to me. I’m no artist, I can barely draw my breath. I like what Devon appears to do and I’m sure he’s been very successful with his posts on Tik Toc and other media but I definitely agree with you on your perspective.

Are you an artist or a person who seeks to expose people? If it’s the latter, there are way more important lies out there that needs exposing than Devon. You’re coming across as if you have an axe to grind. Not saying you do, but that’s how I perceived it.

As an artist, it is not easy to do what Devon does, but it is not impossible. So, that you can't do it doesn't mean that he can't and others can't. There are always better artists out there, people who have a gift that is above others, so Devon is one of them. Do your own thing and don't worry about what others do. Anyway, nice vid and attempt to do something that to you seems impossible.

Proof it's fake: Check out the light source in this video, 2-3-4-5 shadows on the page, all diffused and multiple light sources. In Devon's video it's 1 lightsource from a lamp in his studio. A studio lamp is 1 lightsource and crisp shadow. Devon will never show the whole page with the background or a timelapse. Because it is in a studio.

Of course, he has someone helping with the video, and of course, the pictures are not done in 10 minutes, the videos are obviously edited to make it appealing to people to watch online as you are not going to watch an hour long video. Devon is good at what he does, so what is your problem? Why are you trying to discredit him, get a life. Based on what you sketched, maybe you should start with some art classes. 😂😂

Devon is the best drawing artist I have seen (on KZbin and in my life). Devon works fast, but he was always CALM, guaranteeing him to finish (my guess is below). Sorry for the long post (I like mysteries or simple explanations 😋 or ignore my post). Since Marcel Saleta gives some general background information on a metro train for an artist, the things I can imagine are (I may be 100% wrong): Option 1. In all videos by Devon himself IN THE STREETS, he respectfully always asked, "CAN I DRAW YOU?" Maybe it is the same in the MTA trains. This is my preferred option 1 + Option 2. Maybe many MTA subjects LEAVE the train before Devon finished his work, and we only saw the ones he finished. It is possible. - Option 3. Devon needs a friend who sat on the same metro train seat. He/she took a picture 1, 2 or 5 stops BEFORE and texted Devon, helping him big time ahead of his work. Option 4. Maybe it is Devon HIMSELF, moving from one train to another, allowing him to study the faces, and then he started his work on the next train. Option 5. Few people have extraordinary memory. Have you heard about Daniel Tammet, the savant autistic (he has a rare neurological condition called synesthesia)? Devon may have seen the subject arrived earlier (later, he said "I love your hair", I love your tattoos, "I love your jacket", etc) and when the subject returned from their trips on a train exchange point, Devon can follow them, giving him plenty of advantages in advance. Option 6. The TikTok videos had been edited; was Devon's camera on his forehead or some help? Therefore, did drawing subjects KNOW what's going on or part of a deal? Tipping or not tipping. NYC is expensive to live as an artist). ~~~~~ At the end of the day, the way Devon gives away (?), the verbal exchanges ARE NOT NATURAL because humans are VERY VERY CURIOUS (asking for more questions, asking for selfies, asking for social media accounts), saying something else is going on. Devon is the best drawing artist I know.

So glad I came across this video. I ordered the set of 5 they have now. But the Ciao ones. Since I don't want dubble in the Sketch set. And this way I have thinner ones as well.
@dammitjim91313 ай бұрын
Maybe you just suck at drawing Marcel. Devon is even able to do a hyperrealistic painting on the train, and, on top of that, the subject is completely clueless he's doing it. That's pure genius/talent/hardwork/scamming people who are gullible enough to believe that's even possible. 😂😂😂 That being said, he does seem to have great skills but doing it on a moving train with strangers, in a matter of minutes ... come on. No possible.

Another thing - notice how the camera angles constantly change and are in dynamic motion while he’s doing art work on an allegedly unsuspecting person. He’d have to have an entire army of camera men there to show the interaction from all the angles that his videos show them from. Those aren’t just static hidden cameras all over the place that don’t move. They move, follow him around, get things from every angle, etc. I don’t doubt that he’s a fantastic artist. But I think there is a lot more behind-the-scenes that is happening with these “unsuspecting” subjects.

There is a big difference between your work and Devon’s work. Devon is only drawing the face of the person, while you are trying to draw the whole body. That’s why you need more time.

Claramente el talento, el don, la estrategia, la metodología y la destreza de Devon es mil veces mejor q la tuya, q parece de niño de primaria. Por lo tanto, es muy demasiado probable q él lo logre y tú, con la envidia por dentro, NO!!

I really love this. I love the character designs for both the clowns and mimes. I enjoy when the mother give her boy his beret in showing that she come to accept her son's aspirations of being a clown. Clowns are so much fun to play with in animation no matter if they are in costumes or an animated duck getting outsmarted by a ladder.

Devon has been doing it for a very long time and he has admitted it was very hard to do and he has made mistakes but over time you learn to correct those mistakes. I also kind of figured he may be staging people on the subway and that to me would make more since because there are people getting on and off in a short period of time and there have been videos of him getting off the subway with the person and catch up to them and giving them the portrait. His quick drawing is because his videos are sped up and if you notice some of the people around the person that's being drawn aren't there in the shot when he hands them the portrait. His drawings are excellent the detail is awesome. I wish I could draw that well and I heard him say he has a course to learn his style and I a seriously thinking about doing it and I'm 67 years old and do have some drawing experience.
