Ameland, dat geeft mij altijd een speciaal gevoel. In de 60-er jaren kwam ik daar al. Later in 1995 en '96. Als band speelden we in de zomermaanden in het patronaatsgebouw in Nes en later op camping Boomhiemke.

I live in Friesland, and if I sometimes leave for school or work, I always think about how special it is here. Not overpopulated, much variations in nature -in a territory not even so big- and the people, they always greet you when you pass them. I am born here, and hope I wil live here all my live.

As a Dutch person, I find the way this area is praised with dramatic music funny. It's a nice area for sure, but most young people leave.

I really looked up to him. I read his memoir: one of the best books I've ever read. He was a real person. A tough Manjack on the high seas. Multilingual in four languages. One of my all time Hero's.

hallo friesland komen de reuzen van royal de luxe weer terug naar Friesland dat zou fantastisch zijn zulke mooie reuzen vooral het reuze meisje zij moet ook meekomen zij is mijn favoriete reus ze komen ook naar Antwerpen in 2022 dus kunnen ze dan niet gelijk friesland aandoen 🙏👍👧💋😘💕
