Just curious why you choose spherical bearings for the support bars on some cells and pin pivots on others (such as this one). What's the tradeoff there?

What do these mirror cells do? I’m not sure I understand what google told me. As a job shop it’s always neat to see what other people are making.

Dustin, mirror cells are used on telescopes to provide an even support to the main collecting mirror. The mirrors are concave so they focus the light to fit our eyes and are very precisely figured to provide the best possible image. The mirrors are made of glass and we think of them as being rigid but that is not the case, they will bend slightly under the own weight if allowed to and distort the image. I hope this helps to answer your question.

Is the VM ONE single phase compatible?
@auroraprecision3263
@auroraprecision3263 3 жыл бұрын
The answer is no, you will need an inverter to change your power supply to 3 phase. We have an inverter from Phase Perfect that supplies our 3 machines.

@Aurora Precision great machine. I am waiting for vm20i myself. However, I use a rotary 40hp phase converter. How many HP is your phase perfect, and how many mills are can you run at the same time?

@@auroraprecision3263 can you tell me what inverter you have? I am looking to get a vm1 for my little garage shop. Also my garage door is only 84 inches high. Was wondering what your opening is. Do you think mine is high enough? Thanks

This looks much more accurate than the "seatbelt" type of sling on my telescope.
