If I’m hearing correctly, they’re playing the piece in F# major, which is a really hard key (because it has 6 sharps + no instruments tuned to F#), but it’s played very accurately and also in quite a somber manner (which is characteristic of keys with many accidentals). It’s really cool they did it this way!

There was a lot of facts, but one more would be good too. Before politics, Putin used to work in East Germany. Kinda long time and helped The Stasi with lot of things. So, he kinda know Germany and had some special feeling for this country.

Ahh this please Putin. 25 straight men wrapping their lips around tubas, trumpets and other blowing instruments and create a manly rendition of his Fatherlands anthem. Man hört doch nur ein Geschrumme und Gequetsche, der Sound ist doch unter aller Sau, man erkennt mit Mühe die Hymne! All you hear is a humming and squashing, the sound is awful, it's hard to recognize the anthem!

being a german myself i never have voted or will vote for her party - and still i have deep respect for angela merkel. she was just a great leader and a decent person. life was good during her era. politicians should all be as humble as her and take her style of governing as an example to create unity.
