This is not a clarinet choir. This is a keyboard on clarinet sound. And it sounds horrible tonewise.
@elegostar6523 Жыл бұрын
It's called midi, its not meant to be a real clarinet voice. And yes it is a clarinet choir because that's what it is arranged for.
@joeheid2776 Жыл бұрын
@@elegostar6523 That's not what the headline says. And as a clarinetist I expected real clarinets. Not midi.
@elegostar6523 Жыл бұрын
@@joeheid2776 this guy made music so people can play the music, he can't afford to pay real clarinetists to play this music just because your ears cannot afford to hear something that isn't up to your full expectations. Sure, it's not real clarinets, but most things you listen to on the internet are MIDI, however, bigger creators use advanced/ expensive forms of it.

Doesn’t contrabass play in bass clef
@samuelperlman91234 жыл бұрын
No, all clarinets play in treble clef (outside of a few bass clarinet examples from the early 20th century, especially in Strauss and Prokofiev). Lower clarinets just sound down one or more octaves in addition to the B flat transposition.

what software you using
@samuelperlman91234 жыл бұрын
I used Sibelius for this, but I now mainly use Finale.

Samuel Perlman do you know any good violin patches in finale?
@samuelperlman91234 жыл бұрын
I use NotePerformer sounds in both Finale and Sibelius
@Jon-qz2qj5 жыл бұрын
I think this needed a bit more practice especially on where the soloists center and finish. All that aside, that lead trumpet player has really good control on upper register playing especially for his age. Another thing, I think the snare is tuned way too loose but that’s just my personal opinion.

It is very important that the drummer brings some energy into the piece, however i very much feel that in this recording he is dragging, especially the snare, slowing everything down. Great playing all together though, sounds good!

How do I train the muscles in my lips to play higher? Does anyone know?
@isaacwang19265 жыл бұрын
You dont, use more air. Tighten your corners and keep your apature (hole between your lips) the same size while speeding up your air.
@moderncrusader30395 жыл бұрын
@@isaacwang1926 thank you, I know that apature is, my band instructor told me you have to work out the muscles in your mouth. I didn't understand what she meant.
@isaacwang19265 жыл бұрын
@@moderncrusader3039 yeah, dont tighten just stay firm. She just mean you need to work your muscles so that your mouth doesnt move when you blow more air

Even when transposed it isn't in pitch. Unless you take some parts up one octave, the tenor part especially isn't in range.
@samuelperlman91235 жыл бұрын
kev Yes it is, I'm a woodwind player and have watched a sax quintet perform this arrangement.
@sprucefox22395 жыл бұрын
Samuel Perlman they must have changed it somehow or the actual music must be different because if you look at the tenor part starting around 1:25 you can see it goes below the lowest part of its range, far past the Bb two lines below the staff that all tenors cap off at
@samuelperlman91235 жыл бұрын
@@sprucefox2239 This score is in concert pitch, as it would sound when it's played. When transposed for tenor sax, the lowest note in that section is a low D just below the staff in treble clef.
