very nice job. how did you get the feature to work signed up for early access, but not live ai for my glasses. thank you for not editing it. always good to show that things don't always work like you think they will.
@GlidingThroughBlindness-zs2bt3 күн бұрын
If you are accepted into the Early Access program, you will get features like Live AI, but it is rolled out gradually. I'm glad you appreciate my unedited videos. My goal is to be as transparent as possible.

Wow, somebody got a Hirte ready for Christmas I’ve heard about them old instruments. They’re an ancient. Hurdy-gurdy.

My son actually bought it himself a few months ago. It is indeed an ancient instrument.

It is early days on this and it will get better. I found it frustrating that when you faced your home from across the street you did not have clear access to cross as there were a pair of mailboxes just a foot or two in front of you. Baby steps first might be to ask questions like what is directly in front of you? Keep testing it and give feedback.
@GlidingThroughBlindness-zs2bt5 күн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I think eventually, if I tell it I'm blind, hopefully it will be able to inform me of things like that automatically, such as not having clear access to cross. I will definitely keep testing, and so excited about the era we're living in.

That’s very cool! I got my glasses yesterday, I’m loving it a lot. I didn’t know about this future until I’ve heard your video, can you please tell me how can we turn on the early Access future? Because when I asked my glasses, it said it’s not available. You need to turn on the early access. Thanks again.
@GlidingThroughBlindness-zs2bt14 күн бұрын
The setting to join the Early Access program is in the Meta View app. But thousands of people have doubtless requested to join, so the odds of getting in aren't very high. But just be patient, and soon everyone will have this feature added, with more of the bugs worked out by then. :))
@dlandary-658014 күн бұрын
@@GlidingThroughBlindness-zs2bt thank you so much, I went very deep and into all settings on the Meta View app, but I was not able to find anything saying early access. Would you mind please telling me where exactly I can find it? I am using iPhone, and sorry to keep bothering you.

Nice demo. I live in a more urbanized environment and wonder if these glasses could recognize walk/don't walk signals and tell me what number is on the bus a block or two away? I still hace a good deal of functional vision, but not enough to see these things, street signs, and addresses. I'll be following as the features improve.

Why are you asking the glasses for directions? It doesn't have GPS lol.
@GlidingThroughBlindness-zs2bt15 күн бұрын
I wanted to know if it might be able to look up directions on the web and go by landmarks or something. Basically just wanted to know what it would say. And the more people that request this type of thing, the more likely it probably is that this feature might be added at some point.

I am legally blind and when I heard about these glasses, I was a bit skeptical at first but now since I’ve also moved into a new apartment I wanna be able to learn and navigate around the apartment and get to know it also the building itself so I got a pair. I am so glad I did I’ve been practicing my with my smart glasses and the other day I was able to go into my kitchen and I could find different things. I could see the layout of the kitchen. I also could see the refrigerator and I managed to get it open and I sat there in front of it And I was able to identify different items on the shelves and I managed to fix a sandwich and put everything back into the fridge. These glasses are of game changer for the blind. I am so glad that I have these glasses now everything around in my new apartment looks so much different now that I know how to get to it without getting lost or turned around. I cannot wait to learn and explore more things around in my new neighborhood thank you so much..

Sorry. You narrating it just made it sound really messy as it was overlapping a bit. It actually made me feel nervous for you if that makes sense. There must be a better way of recording. A small suggestion. Why not try it somewhere a little less noisy than an airport. Just to show how the volunteer can help without all the extra noise going on.
@GlidingThroughBlindness-zs2bt25 күн бұрын
I appreciate your feedback. This was my first voiceover video, so I'm sure I'll get better with practice. But my aim for this channel is not perfection or having a super polished and professional product. I just want people to learn how an average blind person can live a normal life. The aim of this particular video was not to illustrate the Aira service, but to show people how it's possible to walk through an airport independently, even without any vision. I wish it had been less noisy, but on the other hand, perhaps the crowd added to the accomplishment. I do have other vids that specifically focus on Aira though. Thanks for watching.

Hi again! Lol! I am blind, and a KZbinr like you. I have been YouTubing since 2017. My channel mainly centers around consumer level robots and my interactions with them, whether the apps they use are accessible using voiceover, or if there are aspects of their operation that I find a little cumbersome. Also, some of them are just my pets rather than intellectual puzzles. Anyway, to answer your question on your topic, it doesn’t really bother me when people say I am. “amazing“. I agree that inspiring is a little better, but I will take amazing. I remember laughing very happily for about 10 minutes when I was 18 years old. I finally figured out how to use one of those blasted manual can openers to get into a can of peaches for breakfast. There are so many small accomplishments that make up our lives and then when all of those accomplishments are put together to Maintain ourselves, to get through every day life, it probably does seem amazing to cited people.

Thank you so much for taking us along for your demo. It was very exciting and informative. I too have pre-ordered glide and I have three months left before my device is paid off. I am so excited for September 2025! Anyway, I finally found your channel. I saw your video on the Meta glasses a while back and I was pleasantly surprised to hear your voice in some other glide related content. I have only one complaint about this device right now in it’s current state. The steering is very loud. I’m not sure if that would be good or bad. The audio feedback would definitely give me more clues about what’s around me so maybe it isn’t such a bad thing. Anyways, looking forward to seeing more of your content.

I’m going to buy a pair for my mother this weekend. I really, really like how you show us that she will be able to engage better socially, by seeing what other people are talking about. And she can do this independently. WOWZA! Well done! A small suggestion is I agree that the content at the beginning of this post might have fit better in a separate video. as it takes a while to get to the glasses, per your title. Good luck with building this channel and thanks so much for sharing this helpful info .

I have a second phone which I put around my neck. I wore a bluetooth earbud connected to that device, so it would at least somewhat pick up what I was hearing through my glasses. Works better in places a little less noisy, but hopefully it was enough to get the idea. :)
