This is helpful, but what what do you do when you get to a seam? I tried to use my foot and the fabric immediately jammed when I got the seam because of the extra fabric. Any suggestions?

Hi, I’m thinking of getting the 6 or possibly even the 7, is this machine like a jack of all trades and that if I wanted I’d be able to sew a bag from canvas etc or faux leather. TIA

Hello there. I'm a first time user of the Janome Serger My Lock 634D machine and I think I have threaded it correctly from your videos that I have watched. However, after a few seconds, the thread that goes into the last eye of the lower looper gets undone, but for some reason, the thread isn't cut and stays in the machine. It's just that it's not in the eye anymore. What am I doing wrong please? Thank you for all your videos! You are awesome.

This is the best video I have reviewed. You are the only one that showed how to place the fabric and begin sewing. Thank you for taking time to explain what you were doing. Great video.

i don’t know if the foot i got is shitty, but the hem rolls the wrong way (so it’s not encased in the fabric) and i can’t figure out what is going wrong

I have tried to do a rolled hem on and off for a while with absolutely no success. All the tutorials I have watched make it look easy but in reality they all failed to explain the important how and why. You, however showed and explained the how and the why and the where’s of this infuriating but fabulous little rolled hem foot. Yesss, I have success. Not perfect yet, but not too far away. Thank you lovely lady.

It’s such an annoying problem! Thanks for sharing your tips. 😀 I think I’m going to do this to my pants when they are new instead of waiting till the elastic rolls.

I bought a bunch of T-shirts, and they are way bigger around the arms because I have a wide back. Buying t-shirts to fit me would probably cost me a mint, so I have this handy dandy sewing machine, I know how to use it, but I didn't know how to do the sleeves. Thank you so much for this video because I never thought about pressing before sewing. Thanks a lot for the tips!

With a large, foldable cuff like this, I usually sew the cuff on so that the seam allowance ends up on the right side of the hat. It's hidden by the folded cuff but means there's no rough seam around baby's head inside

After cutting off the extra length, can the teeth (from zigzag stitches to cut end) be removed? I find that they bunch up when making small coin purses.

Hi, looking at getting creative with fabric and your video is very helpful. Quick question so if I was to use this to stick 2 different fabrics together back to back would the edges fray or would I still have to stitch the edges? Thank you in advance 😊

They might yes. The Bondaweb would prevent it, but I would say sewing it would be best. x

Hi, hoping you can help. I've had no trouble in the past (limited past) winding a bobbin. I have a new singer machine and can't get an even wind on the bobbin. It's in the slot correctly as far as I know. Have you ever had to adjust that tension piece? I see it has a place on top that can be turned to tighten it or loosen it but neither seemed to help. Any advise? Thanks.
@kimberlykeller9995
@kimberlykeller9995 2 ай бұрын
Your title mentions correct tension. How to you alter the tension?
@michellecronkhite7346
@michellecronkhite7346 2 ай бұрын
@@kimberlykeller9995 Not sure you are understanding my dilemma. The thread goes around that silver bit and gets snug in there, then goes on the bobbin. It's that silver bit I am inquiring about. Thank you.
@Jessalli
@Jessalli 2 ай бұрын
That silver bit keeps it tight yes, but you shouldn't need to alter the tension at all. What happens exactly when you try. Are you holding the thread to get it started? And has your machine been serviced? x
