The true irony is that, by having all the lambs executed, they ended up DIRECTLY PUTTING a receptive and vengeful lamb INTO CONTACT with Narinder, thus bringing about the VERY PROPHECY THEY WERE TRYING TO CUT OFF. They made the prophecy happen by trying to prevent it. If they had just left the lambs alone everything would have worked out fine for them.
