I discovered that too, after failing 40 times (maybe) i remembered the Antomic Bomb trick from the Dynamite Demo v2.0, Useful for people who wanna 100% the demo!

the most important thing to remember is that the Antomic Bomb only gives you height if you're not touching a wall before using it, so be sure to space yourself just a lil smidgeon away before pressing the button

this matchup in particular is so comedic i just HAD to record it . it's funny because ; -i don't know why, but hitting her shield with the chair at certain times will just cause you to spawn like 50 chairs, instantly obliterating that phase . bye bye ! of course you gotta get the chairs offscreen or else the game lags real badly -not all bosses can be command grabbed, but Princess Shroob can . this lets you do really big numbers by just tossing her around, and it's really fun. -if she goes to summon her star projectile, if you grab her before she catches it you can just keep the star going downwards forever, causing her to never use that move again. who needs to learn different timings anyway i'm no challenge runner but if i can yeet around a boss for fun i will

I love the implication that Anton just charges through the city smashing anything in his way to bits on a daily basis. You'd have to be EXTREMELY stupid to rob him and assume you can get away with it.

i tried lookin at a recent speedrun just now and a fellow by the name of @LeKukie cleared the background in a matter of moments, so i guess the big question would be is doing the Antomic Bomb faster than the two background jumps . maybe i should ask them to try this

I like how most silly gimmicks you can think of would only work in boiler city. Single Combo speedruns? Only possible in Boiler City. No Hammer usage? Can't do in other stages. Really like the first stage in the game allowing you to screw around and find out a number of ways you can play through it

If you're wondering if Cinnamon Springs can be done hammerless, the answer is a big fat "No" because the tornado uses your hammer, silly but if you want to try and get to that point without using the hammer, the answer is Still no The main gimmick of the level is the Wobbledrops which require you to hit them with your hammer spin to activate, but that's not actually the problem ! A lot of the wobbledrops are on ledges which you can JUST BARELY make it onto said ledges and up to the next one by timing Antomic Bombs . You can do that with absolutely every ledge except for ONE, in the middle of the Wobbledrop Elevator room. It's just a smidgeon too high to get up. Aside from that one singular jump you're actually able to scale over and around every other wobbledrop and make it to the tornado powerup Shame there's that one jump you can't make, but like. it's funny how many you Can do

There were so many good tricks in this video - for example, I didn't realize that bouncing onto rails gave you more speed than spindashing onto them. But that bit at the end where you just bypassed the downhill obstacle course entirely by jumping onto the side rail and rolling all the way down it? Fucking genius. Now I know why I got smoked in my last race.

also you'd probably not want to destroy every block in the background of Crossroads as that's your exit strategy, so don't destroy all those

i dont think it's possible to include Classic Bounce Training (the red room) in a full combo because it's just a big climb with nothing to destroy. you simply can't get to the top box fast enough so you can't get absolutely every room but you can do a pretty close enough job

I don't really like the new Anton voice , the previous one was just perfect for the character and this one kinda feels too cartoony for him

A 1k combo chain was already possible albeit with some very quick clutch jumps and exploits that kept your clutch combo, which was already fun to mess with. The fact that it's more consistent now due to the tweaked level design and beet crates instead of sprouts makes me even more ecstatic despite it being less of a challenge now

me fumbling the bag but somehow living at 1:45 was horrifying and furthermore scary . i kept my cool also i hate the slope at 3:04 it's right at the end and sometimes you hit your head on the tilting platform for 0 reason and it killed a few attempts but i love antonblase
