Oh, so the term "word clock" is a format for a synchronization clocking signal?

This is perfect if you live in a perfectly designed square or rectangular living room space. 99 percent of our homes are not made like this. Please come up with another way to deal with irregularly built rooms.

U forgot to mention the echoes that echo off your bald head as well, that affects the speaker positioning as well, specially if you move over to a new wax or shine product on the bald

I can appreciate the logic here, especially with pulling the FR-L & FR-R speakers forward to line up with the center channel... which I'll do tonight! However, in virtually every video I've seen thus far on this subject, there exists this fantasy world where all this extra space exists behind the listening position. Not for me. I'm like many others, who have a tiny place. My couch is right up against the damn wall. No luxury of said large room, but I still want my 7.2.2. My surround L&R Surround are to my 9:00 & 3:00, on their own speaker stands for now, just to build the soundstage. My Surround Backs or Atmos' (or whatever we call them) are at ear level atop the far back corners of the couch, because I haven't quite decided where they should actually be (I'm using old Bose 2001s from a galaxy far far away... drivers facing me, tweeters facing ceiling... I figured they're Direct/Reflecting design would be ideal as Atmos surrounds.) I used the Audessey mic setup on my Marantz NR1711, & thus far it sounds pretty bad ass. But if I'm going to change the Surround Backs to Atmos Heights, what's the best location, when I'm in a small square space with very little area behind the listening position? Is it even worth changing at this point? If my environment is small, is moving those 2 going to create that big a difference? Feeling a bit to lazy to run more wiring & find an elevated mounting solution, but might try it in the future...

This maybe the worst explanation I’ve ever heard. No one does this method for good reason. We have room correction for time alignment.

what if your main wall is not straight it is angled so front right left center good and the couch is center where to put the rears at a angle ? or just behind the couch.

If you do enough research you might discover that you absolutely can place a speaker horizontally. Don’t do it if you don’t want to do it and do it if you decide it makes sense in your space. The information and measurements are out there. Regardless of how you design or place a speaker there will be sonic considerations that need to be considered and compromise is always present. I keep getting videos like this in my feed as I watched a few of them previously. BTW, never say “vice-a versa” that is not a thing.

There's a problem in this video with the subtitles (the other Cinema_Sound videos don't have this problem). Here, it's in Korean and it's locked. The other languages (including French in my case) are translated from Korean after English, which results in nonsense. Could you please correct this? This video is the one I'm most interested in!

"Here's an English translation of the French subtitles for a short segment: As soon as I unwrapped it, I started running. ooo sex brother e95 cover 5v shu dmac guitar very 6." You can see it doesn't make sense. I hope you'll do something to fix this. It may be a hack, actually. I don't know.

My 7.1 receiver naturally increases my rear back surround by 2 decibels per volume, which is causing my back speakers to be louder than my front. I just watched this video and have made the changes. I’ve always found it funny that my receiver does that and went with it anyway

Great video, the only criticism is the cameraman should be focussing manually, auto-focus on DLSR's is not always reliable. Love the tour though. I use the NTR and NT1 on all of my VO work, beautiful mics, the NTG2 I have for video work in a studio setting, the Videomic X I use for location work, all awesome mics. I just need a Rode Tube mic now to complete the set.

When talking about reverb he says you don't want dialogue in the centre, does he mean dont put reverb on the dialogue in the centre, as the sole purpose for the centre speaker is to have the dialogue.

I know this is an old post. With due all respect, this gentleman is creating a mostly none existent problem for more clicks on his KZbin channel. Why ? Because most home theater Receiver (AVR) comes with their own “room correction” software - e.g. Denon, Sony, Onkyo, Yamaha, Etc… read the manuals and follow the instructions instead of listening to this guy’s “hack”, which is a click bate…

Thanks for your help, mate. We're working on an almost finished documentary in Hindi. One of the interviews had loads of kids talking and screaming behind the door the subject was in front of. We used Izotope RX7 to isolate the dialogue and are now using denoise in PP. It's better but the problem is that the kids' voices are in the same frequency range as the interview subject talking. Have you got any ideas to deal with this? Again, thanks for the help.

Hello, I have a rosetta 200 and I intend to use it with an apogee quartet. the apogee quartet will be connected to my pc I intend to use the out 5/6 to output the sound from the daw process in my art pro vla 2 compressor and enter the rosetta 200 to convert to A/D using the optical cable Out from the rosetta 200 to the In adat of the apogee quartet. Is using word lock in this case interesting and should it work? the apogee quartet has a WC out the apogee rosetta 200 has WC In and Out. Will the Apogee Rosetta 200 be the master in fact?
