@@CousinMarvin to a certain extent you are correct. This is applicable to copilot, other animals etc but the landscape is far better than 2020

Question for anyone who knows. Is it quite possible to learn enough about piloting in MFS to get a serious head start on earning a real world pilots license?

A little bit. You'll begin to understand the checklist flows and the basic principals of flying and you may have the chance to understand more than your piers that have not done anything. Most the knowledge is going to come from your ground school training and book work with the flight experience coming shortly after from your CFI. You can play the sims and understand how the control surfaces work and begin to understand how to read a PFD and learn to use an MFD but nothing compares to the first flight that you will have. It'll be a big shock to you and you'll think that your time in the sim was useless because you haven't flown an actual airplane before but don't let that discourage you. Keep going to a flight school and your practice will soon pay off and before you know it you'll have soloed. My best advice? Play the sim and cross reference with ground school and book work. ALSO, if you're on PC playing MSFS, get VatSim!!! VatSim taught me and helped me learn how to talk to ATC before I ever even talked to them in real life. EDIT: If you really want to get the most out of it, buy a small yoke you can setup to your Xbox or PC, that way you can see how the aircraft reflects smooth movements vs a keyboard.

Ironically movies are also made mostly using special effects to portray something that doesn't exist and we pay money to watch such movies happily but i somehow find people being too critical for similar stuff on KZbin just because some guy is trying to promote his channel.
