Trump doesn’t even profess to be a Christian and everything about his behavior screams that he isn’t. Religion is, wrongly, being used to push a political agenda. Character cannot be separated from policies. Trump has been on every side of the abortion issue. The more appropriate term is reproductive rights because the issue is much broader than a woman wanting to terminate an unwanted pregnancy as a means of birth control. Women are dying as a result of rigid conservative policies, yet they claim to be pro-life. The cardinal commandments call us to love God and love our neighbor as ourselves. What we do for and to the least of these is guiding for me. To see trump cut the taxes of corporations and the rich adding trillions to the national debt and then turn around and advocate to cut food stamps, health insurance and basic services for the needy⁉️That is sinful. It is an affront to God. He wants to abolish the depts of education, civil rights and militarize the police. Why⁉️Folks are quick to cite Leviticus to justify their hate of LGBTQ folks, but selectively ignore it with respect to other issues. God made them, too, in his image. Some things I do not understand, but I know I am called to love them, to care about and respect them. I don’t think I can really love God if I don’t love my neighbor as myself. Now, to answer your question. I am compelled to have voted for Harris/Walz. It won’t be easy for them to lead because of the divisiveness, but their hearts are open. And, mine is at peace. When you claim to care about life and you care that a baby is born, but not the life of the mother when complications occur or refuse to make common sense changes to prevent lives from being lost to gun violence or choose to provide more weaponry to Israel to kill innocent Palestinians faster, your commitment to life must be questioned. To act to further enrich the lives of the wealthy, while reducing benefits and services to the poor and vulnerable is not concern for life. Trump has said and shown us that the distribution of government services will be transactional-those in red states will receive benefits that those in blue states will not. Character cannot be divorced from policies. It’s difficult, in fact, to understand how a christian would not be concerned about Trump’s wrath, flagrant dishonesty and general lack of civility. He is not motivated by service or love of his brethren but rather a narcissistic need for power and vengeance. He has told us that he chooses to be a dictator and seeks unchecked power with P25. Blasphemously, he’s said he owes God nothing and has no need to repent🫣. He routinely stokes division which is an abomination in God’s sight. Scripture tells us that a person who creates division is warped, sinful, self-condemned and should be considered dangerous and avoided. It is significant that last week, week, a group of mental health professionals published a full page ad in the NYT warning of his mental unfitness for the office. In addition to cognitive decline, he was said to meet the general criteria for antisocial personality disorder based on behavior described as deceitful, destructive, deluded and dangerous that led them to conclude he was an existential threat to democracy. God is trying to tell us something.

If you weren't living in New York at the time, it's hard to fully grasp what was happening. Even if, as you claim, the confessions were legitimate, the fact that they were later proven innocent and Trump still refused to apologize speaks volumes about his character-something he himself has often mentioned. The bottom line is, they were innocent, they were children, and to this day, Trump shows no remorse for his actions. When asked how he felt about the exoneration of the five men, he tweeted on June 29, 2013, "Innocent of what-how many people did they mug?" And he later commented that the settlement of the Central Park Jogger case was "a disgrace." He never humbled himself. You didn’t do your homework, and if you didn’t live in New York during that time, you can't truly understand the atmosphere. You're just an outsider looking in.
