The penguins at Stony Point, breeding was so successful, that the birds starting nesting in the gardens of neighbouring properties. Despite that, the desk jockeys at Cape Nature decided to close the small harbour at Stoney Point. This was done to save these penguins. No matter that small harbour sites in this area are way more endangered than penguins. Now locals got to travel out of town to launch their legal boats, while illegal abalone poaching happens every day, in broad daylight.
