I am just getting to know a little about this horrible disease, my 17 yr old daughter was diagnosed with it recently and the doctor gave her an antibiotic to take daily and a cream to use twice daily. I pray for a cure at some point, this is heartbreaking

Hello there, I just read your comment here about your daughter I'm sorry about her diagnosis, it's such a embarrassing painful disease. I too have had HS since I was 15 but was only diagnosed about 5 years ago, I too was given the antibiotics a HUGE amount of them and soaps/washes ect, be careful with the antibiotics as we have to take them over such a long period of time, I found eventually you end up worse with more liaisons in different places and also a lot of other horrible side effects added on, I haven't been the same in a long time, the worst thing I did was take those pills. The best thing I've used for keeping them away for a bit longer is a 99p tea tree foam I use in the shower, chin up and I wish you's both the best x

I was diagnosed with HS at 18 years of age. I am 57 now. It's not as bad as it used to be, but I still have lesions and drainage from the sinuses that were formed over the years. It is painful and very humiliating. I feel for you.

I have this too. Had it since I was 9. I've only gotten one under my armpit but between my thighs are worse, I live in Florida where its deathly hot and the humidity makes you sweat so much more, so every time I wear my jeans (which is the only thing I feel comfortable wearing, since shorts will show my scars) my jeans make me sweat more causing more flare ups to occur. I feel your pain and everyone else's. :(

I also have Hs since I was young.I know the emotional and physical damage it does.It is horrible there is no cure!Honestly,I am just now learning about HS.When I was younger I thought I just was different.But,seeing your videos and seeing all the comments makes me feel less alone.Thank you!

Thank you so much for this video. My girlfriend has this. The scars on her inner thighs, groin and armpits are terrible. She gets huge cyst which cause more scarring. She is always afraid I'm going to get disgusted and leave her. I love her and her scars. I didn't know it had a name until now. Now I have a name I can do research to help her. Thank you so much!
