This is the procedure for resetting dynamic transmissions.. You only need to hold down the gas for 30secs and you dont have to wait an additional 2 mins.

I have a bmw 645ci that had a starter issue a few mths ago i replaced it and the car started up fine. The car is a project so its been sitting. i tried to start it up yesterday and it doesn't turn over/does nothing. The ivm and battery was replaced also. I have a foxwell scanner and no codes from full scan. I even reset the cas and dme. Even tried the ibs disconnect trick and still nothing. all lights are working and all shift gears are working in the cluster. Diamond key is recognized and chimes when close to key ring. im stumped

The ECU monitors the quality of gas, and condition of motor. If it’s knocking due to poor gas quality, dirty injectors, ect, it will trim throttle and boost. If you have issues and you are just resetting it, and it pings, or runs improperly, you can put your engine and pocket book at risk. Invest in a high quality scanner that can read knock, misfires, ect if you’re just resetting it as much as possible. ALWAYS RUN 93 octane if you’re going to beat on it and 91 ALWAYS! If you’re a cheap bastard that wants to go fast on 89 octane or 87, you will be a broke Bastard when you crack a piston or throw a rod.
