Geez I didn't know they made a kit. I did all this on my own about 5 years ago. Ended up with a lot the same. Made my own engine mounts, cross member, flex plate cover, altered front sump oil pan, tranny tunnel room I figured all that out. One thing is I used the passenger header on the driver side it clears perfect. Kills me seeing there was a kit

Getting pretty close on the swap. Are you guys using some type of adapter or replacement gear to run the stock speedo on the GM trans?

What trans are you running? We use 4l60 and 4l80. Which are electrical controlled so it’s plug and play. If you’re running a non electric trans you will need an electrical converter box for Speedo cable to go into and work.

running a 4l65. Using the fitech ultimate setup so it’s got the big plug that goes in above the trans pan and then a small vehicle speed sensor plug but I currently have nothing to plug it to. The trans i bought didn’t come with anything at the speedo hole. I assume I just need to abandon the original cable/gear and buy an electronic sensor to put on the tail of the gm trans and run it through the fitech.

What starters are you guys running with your ls swaps? Trying a power master but I’m hitting crank sensor on one side and manifold flange on the other.
