Great instruction! I love how you base your game and the actions you will take as a response to the other person’s reactions to your moves. So many people leave this part out and it is a critical piece of knowledge since no on just sits and lets you submit them. Thanks so much!

When you go into the triangle/ outside sankaku what is your response if someone tries to toehold that leg? Every time I cross the center line with my foot atm with one guy, he'll just go for the toe hold.

at around 42:25, when you go to that quasi backside position to expose the heel, why rotate all the way back before going into the break? couldn't you finish belly down from that position, as you would from backside 50/50?

Your videos have been very helpful so thank you. During the transition from butterfly to the arm saddle around 5:25 I'm finding myself getting passed. I'm thinking I'm not framing correctly to prevent this. If someone has a similar experience could you let me know how you fixed it? I think I'll figure it out, but thought I'd ask.

Is Kani Basami the same as Cross Ashi and inside Sankaku? Or are all of this the same but different names?

411, honey hole, Inside senkaku , cross ashi are all the same. Kani basami is a technique you use to get there

@@x-Musashi-x to be a bit more specific...honey hole (411, inside senkaku) is a type of cross ashi. But when someone says cross ashi they usually mean honey hole. If you go to regular outside ashi garami then move their leg from the outside to the inside...that is cross ashi. Just pummel your legs slights and you are in honey hole.

I kinda wish we would have called the Standard Armbar position the 'Arm-Saddle'. It would have had nice symmetry with the 'Leg-Saddle'. 'Juji-Gatame' and 'Cross-Ashi' are terms from different times, but both emphasize the perpendicularity to the opponent. In my gym I categorize moves like the Shoulder-Crunch, Arm-Saddle, Reverse-Kimura, etc 'Arm-Entanglements' to emphasize the symmetry they have with 'Leg-Entanglements'.

Roberto ! 2 Domande : 1 : is there any problem, if the bottom guy put you in a lockdown (17:17) ? I guess you will have to address that first and then carry on with the pass maybe ? 2 : is any particular reason why from quasi mount (17:27) you don't go to full mount but you rather chose to pummel out to side mount ? (I guess risk of being rollover [UPA]?) anyway ... GRANDISSIMO come al solito ! 👍👍👍
