This lady is articulate and intelligent, and delivered exactly the kind of analysis for which I was looking. Since I'm looking for my first vibration machine I had an intuitive understanding that higher vibration was better, and she explained why that matters; it triggers involuntary muscle contraction. However, I thought that the lateral movement offered in some models was a desirable feature, but she explained why that lateral motion is not natural for the knees, and not needed to trigger involuntary contraction. Further, she explained that the impact of the weighted motor on one side is relevant to building bone density, which is why you should switch sides half way thru the workout. thanks to this video I have decided to order and compare two machines: the VT007 (vertical vibration) and the VT027 (oscillating vibration) plate exercise machines by Vibration Therapeutic. Excellent explanations and analysis!! I cannot recommend this channel enough :)

What is the best amplitude for improving bone density?
@domini_anne2 ай бұрын
On a pivotal oscillation plate, the ideal Hz is 26 or above. Amplitude would be as much as you can tolerate ( that's how wide your legs are apart when you're on a pivotal oscillation plate) but more importantly than that it's also about positioning and muscular engagement. There's a quality of enagement where you are drawing in around the bones and joints in order to absorb the vibration closer to your bones ( as opposed to just letting it shake you around). Does that make sense?
@Lulu-kt6gr2 ай бұрын
@ yes I think so.

Q: How does the lifepro compact compare with a full size lifepro?. Thanks for explaining why certain models cost more. Q How do vibration plates compare to ordinary back massagers?
@domini_anne2 ай бұрын
Hi! So I don't have much experience with all of the different lifepro models unfortunately. The best I can tell you is to get one that works for your price range and spacial accommodations ( where are you storing it? What is your workout space like?) When considering the lower end vibration plate models, the biggest difference is that a vibration plate is something that you stand on to exercise, whereas a back massager would be a vibrating/percussion device that you could use to give yourself some passive manual therapy. There is no muscular activation of any note when you're just putting a vibrating thing on your body while you're lying down. Although, sometimes they can feel reallly good anyhow.

@domini_anne4 ай бұрын
So I have porcelain tile on top of concrete as a base for my floor, and when I decided to redo it, I started with a thin rubber layer that I ordered in rolls from Home Depot. From there, I layered on carpets from Costco. At this point, I have a double layer of carpet over the floor and it’s comfortable enough that I can do groundwork without an additional mat.

What do you think about Hypervibe g10?
@domini_anne4 ай бұрын
I am not a fan of the hyper vibe. They charge far too much for their product considering that it’s still a single arm and the motor is incredibly cheap. The frequencies they hit are a little faster than the plates I recommend, but for the price difference it’s not worth it. If you want the real gold standard, get a Galileo and if not, don’t waste your money on anything that’s over $500.

Studies for bone - 30 to 40 Hz and amplitude .5 to 2
@domini_anne2 ай бұрын
With a Galileo, the frequency for bone adaptation is 26 hz and above. This is bilateral stimulation ( pivotal oscillation), with an incredibly powerful motor. If you're looking at vertical vibration plates, the hz required for bone adaptation is much higher. It can be confusing because many studies don't bother to differentiate between vertical vibration or bilateral ( pivotal oscillation) plates and so the numbers appear to be all over the map. Also you want to consider that with many of the pivotal oscillation plates have a driving arm only on one side, so the G-forces are virtually non-existent on one side. Unfortunately, even with the research we have, the results vary from plate to plate because of the different types of motors used and mechanisms inside. I wish I could give a more definitive answer, but this is the best I can provide with my experience.

I have heard that vibration platforns helps you deal with Neuropathy,?? Do you know about that particular function.? AMEN. Please reply if you have time.
@domini_anne2 ай бұрын
They can, yes. Vibration stimulates your nervous system, which can help to awaken the nerve endings. But much of this has to do with how you apply the vibration - your body positioning, perhaps changing the texture on the surface of your plate, and the frequencies you choose. It's not like you can just " push start" and fix the problem.
I was given what looks to be the little orange one (but in black). I’m just now playing around with it. Thanks for all the tips! Oh, mine is a Powet.

It even listed its frequency range, and the website also stated in the FAQ's; fat loss is a marketing scheme as it has not been scientifically proven (paraphrasing). ...Why's that a good thing you may ask. What she really does is advertise for the Galleleo and explains how terrible the others are. I hope the Galleleo people pay you.

Well, there is no denying the fact that the Galileo is the gold standard for Vibration plates, and much of the research showing positive results on vibration plates was done on a Galileo device. Yes, I do work with those plates, and have designed teacher training programs for the company. But I have many students who can't spend that much on something for themselves at home. After being asked countless times about " cheaper options" I decided to do some ground research on my own and share what I've found. If you do manage to finish the video at some point, you will see that I do, in fact, recommend an affordable Vibration Plate option that is /// not/// the Gailileo. And I manage expectations about what types of results it will deliver because that's an important part about ANY purchase. Knowing what you're going to get. Best of luck finding the perfect option for you.

I have a question. Is the VT vibration machine you touched on the 027 model? I recently purchased the 007 model without investigating. It is Linear movement. I suppose I will return it and purchase the 027 because it is pivotal and appears to be safer for me. Thank you.

This is what they do in Eastern Europe is they gag you and shut you up KZbin is like a communist fucking ran wonderful platform with hooligans running it that’s all I have to say now watch when they completely block me and not let me back in fuck him at least you got your compliment and you know what it will save me many hours of my day. And besides, it’s their loss, they’re not making the money they did with me. Meanwhile, you are a gem simply fabulous and I’m complimenting you and thanking you from the bottom of my heart. Have a wonderful wonderful day. I’m gonna quickly save your information before they delete me and put that padlock on the door punishing me like a child for a month.
